Do this quick test before you buy another IM product...

...it could save you hundreds of dollars!

I've noticed many things over the years online and one of them is
the propensity for people to rush out and purchase the latest
product that is being launched by a known guru or expert without
doing this little test.

Before I get to the test let me explain the background to it.
Each us has an unconscious program that virtually runs our lives,
however most of us are totally unaware of what it is and how it
affects us.

The way this program behaves is that it keeps us prisoner within
comfort zone that we have grown accustomed to; whenever we venture
outside that zone we experience fear and uncertainty to varying
degrees.

One of the comfort zones we exist in is our present level of income
and if we do anything that takes us outside of that zone we often
find ways to sabotage ourselves so that we return to a level that we
are more comfortable with.

This brings me back to people buying popular products that off the
back of huge launches who then let those very same products sit in a
nice spot in their spare room or offices for months without even
being touched.

If you want to avoid spending money on products you will never use
do this quick test before you make a purchase.

-Take a deep breath and hold for 5 seconds then breath out
-Repeat the following statement out loud and wait 10 seconds

"I allow myself to use (insert product name ) to help build my
business and increase my income to ( insert income target)"

What you will discover after you have completed this test is one of
two things; you will experience nothing and feel totally okay with
making your purchase or you will feel a certain level of tension or
anxiety in your chest or stomach area.

If you experienced the latter then you should seriously reconsider
making that purchase as the tension or anxiety is your unconscious
minds way of telling you that it's not going to allow you create
the result you consciously want and you really need to do some
inner work on yourself before spend more money on a product that you
will never really use.

I don't really expect this post to be popular as it touches on
something that many people prefer not to look at, which is their
belief system and how it's not always in alignment with what they
consciously want or desire.

This is a big problem for most people and they live in daily denial
of this truth and suffer the consequences financially.

...Don't let that be you.

I feel that you have hit the nail right on the head as I have had that happen to me sooooooo many times. I have made bad choices alot and have so many files that have said this will help that will help and 80% of the files or cd's I have don't do anything for me, they have made the sellers money and have done nothing for me..

Thank you for the advise I will put it to use today...

I think there is an even more important test than that.

Check your hard drive to make sure you don't already have it.

Sounds funny, but it happens a lot more often than people may realize.

      Hi Michael,

Your advice so much reasonable and plain, that the peoples do not give a thought to it because of this just possibly. It would be exemplary though.

And I'm also quilty in this, I've about 10 gigabite material what I can to dispense, so I intend to make a sale for it in the future.

      Cheers,

      Sandor

        Hi TD,

I'm in total agreement but I would like to emphasize your point even further - because it doesn't just relate to making (or not making) purchases.

comfort zone that we have grown accustomed to; whenever we venture
outside that zone we experience fear and uncertainty to varying

This is very important on two levels -

        a) if you want to sell to people/write copy, then you are going to make your life a lot easier if you do some study of this subject and some honest introspection and then apply it to your work and how it affects others.

        b) the 'comfort zone' factor affects every single aspect of your life - relationships, career, personal habits etc etc

Some people never even read a single sentence or have a single coherent thought about this subject during their whole lives. They live their lives on auto-pilot.

It becomes a lot easier to shape yourself AND get the best out of other people when you understand HOW to motivate them/yourself and have understanding of the situations that arise when we prove that as humans we are far from 'the finished article.'

To do this, it's wise to delve into pleasure/pain principles and the like. Or just read Blair's book and similar work.

Good post, imaginary 'rep' given. PS - I am a mere student of this subject, having lived on auto-pilot for an embarrassingly long time.

Certainly. I was in no way trying to take away from the original post. It's an interesting technique, and could not only help with purchases, but also help with understanding our true direction.

I was just rying to point out another thing people should do before buying a 'new' product.

            Lol...Michael,

Heck, In my last WSO one person purchased my product 3 times in only 3 weeks. They didn't ask me too but I sent them a refund for the 2 added purchases and included a very nice note!

            Have a Great Day!

Several years ago, I went to a seminar (CareerTrack) where the leader talked about the same thing - only she approached it from the idea that your subconscious knew what you really wanted when you couldn't make a decision.

If your decision involved two possible outcomes, such as Michael's buy/don't buy scenario, and you can't decide what to do, try flipping a coin.

              Heads you do.

              Tails you don't.

              Spin that sucker.

By the time the coin settles, you'll know what you want the outcome to be.

    Hi Heath

It's a little different but it's this kind of honest introspection that
    would save people a lot of money and get them making real progress;
the simple truth is however is that most people are too scared to do it.

The reason for this is that it's actually a little uncomfortable to consider
that even before you've recieved the product in question on some level
you've already decided you're not going to do anything with it.
