Why dont you use the autoresponder in your cpanel? It doesn't give any URL or anything

    Just the text you want.

Normally I was charged $30 per month. $9.95 for the first 10k and then $9.95 per additional 10k. Suddenly I am not being charged $219.20. I'm lost....

The best choice is to contact AWeber directly.

But based on the pricing list here:
    Code:
    http://www.aweber.com/pricing.htm
It doesn't seem outrageous. But still, you should contact AWeber for clarification on your situation.

Webhosting autoresponders can have a terrible delivery rate and not many
      features.

i know many big marketers use Autoresponder Plus.

its no monthly fee...its hosted on your own server.

the delivery rate may not be as good as Aweber but

it just a one time fee and the software is yours.

Yes you are missing something and a lot of other people are missing something as well here. If you were to look at this carefully it says-

    354072 04-04-10 to 04-06-11 Unlimited Autoresponders $ 179.40...

IT SAYS FROM 2010 TILL 2011.

    Therefore it's from 4-4-2010 till 4-6-2011. $179 Is for 1 yr...Not one month.

It's funny that this thread has 12 responses and everyone thinks aweber charges $179 a month lol. It comes to about $14/15 bucks a month if you pay for the whole year. Not bad at all I would say.

This does seem to be a common occurence. People do not truly read and comprehend anymore. They just skim and then complain.
Even when people contact support sites, they face the same problem. The personnel that are supposed to be helping hardly ever try to understand what the client is complaining about since all they do is skim the complaint and then issue the 'canned' response that is closest to the subject matter in the complaint.

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO PROFESSIONALISM??? Is it any wonder that Internet Marketing is constantly having to put raw meat on a black eye?

        Here's one for you...

About a week ago, I came across a white label of Aweber that only costs $176.90 a year with unlimited autoresponders and 10,000 subs. Each additional 10,000 subs is an extra $10.00 per year.

Here's the direct URL and is not an affiliate link:

AutomateYourList Autoresponder & Newsletters: Unlimited Follow Up Autoresponders Increase Email Deliverability.

Take notice of the toll free number at the bottom of the web page. Give it a call and see who the automated answerer is! It will be Aweber's support desk.

        Enjoy having a cheaper list...

        Regards,
        Branden

I do still notice some discrepancies in there.

As ryanman said the unlimited autoresponders for $179.40 is for the year not month, but under that is a very confusing line.

    "354072 03-04-10 to 04-04-10 (Using 42463) Stores 10,000 Leads Free, $ 39.80"

If it stores the leads FREE why are you paying $39.80 per month?

Also I am not clear why they are charging for autoresponders at all, as you are usually charged for the amount of subscribers, not the amount of autoresponders you set up.

It does confuse me, but I suspect it would make sense when seen in context.

    Cheers,
    Colin

10% of the Aweber mail I get goes to my junk box. 100% of a service I pay $17.95/mo for any number of contacts goes to my inbox. Money seems to have nothing to due with quality of delivery. About half of the Infusionsoft mail I get goes directly to junk.
Some companies seem to be so big they cannot control their own services anymore. Or so it would seem from my experience.

yeah I didn't know Aweber had changed their prices a little while back and I was shocked when they billed me.

Host your own lists, its the only way to go in my opinion. I understand aweber makes it easy by keeping deliverability up, but there are free ebooks available where you can learn how to effectively email market from your own server and not have many problems.

Actually, Aweber is increasing its prices because, I think, they are providing the best services and they are having good repo in the market. ON the other hand, if you are still earning using their service then you should not worry about the prices

I have about 10K on my lists and I pay $69/mo. Of course, I am on the older pricing plans - I have had the account for years.

On thing I do I from time to time go in and delete all of the unsubscribes and try to keep the numbers down.

Yes - you are charged for "storing" the unsubs

Having said all that... AWeber is well worth the service charge.

I run/control accounts at all the major autoresponder companies, and they are hands down the best around overall.

Not in all situations, but if I had to go for one of them alone, I would go with AWeber... And I'm paying them a bucketload of cash each month

    ednri871,

They ALWAYS charged! They MIGHT have had a smaller list option that was free, like get response, but they are charging you a fee for LARGE lists! BTW getresponse' free option is currently for lists of less than 11! For 25K, it is $145/month!

Every marketer worth their salt would say the exact opposite. With proper relationship list building, it accounts for as much as 80% of our back end profits. It's advice like this that steers newbies in the wrong direction. Granted there are marketers out there that focus only on driving traffic to CPA offers or might sell traffic and take a cut off the spread, but if you're an affiliate marketer or have your own products (or both) and you're not building lists for every niche you're in, you're literally leaving a TON of money on the table. If you're not doubling your profits you are not list building correctly and don't have a powerful back end strategy.

There is no such thing as an Aweber clone for a one-time fee. On top of it scripts do not handle all the operational and techie stuff that Aweber does in the background while you sleep.

These autoresponder threads generally have a record of having 95 to 99.9% inaccurate information. As someone who has studied the autoresponder industry extensively I'm here to advise you that you're far better off doing your own research.

I wouldn't drop them if they raised their prices to $500 a month.

It's not likely that they will, but the truth of the matter is, if you have any kind of list, and are using it for the intention it is there for (making money), it pays for itself many times over.

Of course that isn't even an issue because the pricing is for an entire year, but just the thought of it, is a good reason to take a serious look at how you are using your resources, and pinpointing things you can do better to make them more profitable.

In FACT a lot of the things people say they HATE in threads, such as this, are REQUIRED to protect delivery ratios! Frankly, I have some nice software, and could have it do things, such as aweber, but I couldn't support it even at the level they MUST. I wouldn't allow things, like importing of lists, tying to other email systems, etc..., that could EASILY attract business, because they would adversly affect delivery rates.

Too many have software WORSE than mine, and NO idea of what else they should do. The end result is that initial delivery may be LOW, and it almost invariably DROPS!

And the idea of doing things like using new IPs is often presented as if they figured it is easy, legal, and a UNIQUE idea! None of that is the case.

I figured the price had to be an annual price when I first read the OPs thread.

But that being said, any business advertising anything should take care to note the "per unit" price they are quoting. If you are selling something, don't leave it up to the consumer to figure out the whos, whys, hows and whats.

If the price is $200/month, or $200/gallon, or $200/piece, or $200/slice - whatever - then say so in your advertising.

Why leave it up to the consumer to misinterpret or possibly not buy my product?

I see this happen all too often online. And the problem is the people writing the stuff are too close to their product so they write ads and marketing that "they" would immediately understand. We all know we can't proofread our own work.

Fact is, the OP could have read that blurb 100 times and it still isn't clear. What the heck is the big deal with just saying "$179.40 annual fee"? If they had taken care to draft a proper offer, this thread wouldn't be here.
