Your Best Advice for Launching a New Social Startup - Media wise
In under a month we plan on launching what we hope will catch on quite quickly with the social networking crowd. I can't give away too much, but the site is providing something to the social networking niche that is not really available elsewhere, and has a killer Domain name.
Anyhow, I was to ask, what are you top suggestions for the launch in terms of marketing and getting the media's interest. I have already been contacted by a very large Canadian newspaper for more information. It would be nice to get the attention of dozens of newspapers and Television stations worldwide as well as the various Technology blogs like techcrunch, mashable, etc. Do you suggest contacting them, if so, in what way? How about a press release? Which paid services do you recommend? services
