To everyone who bought from me: an explanation

Yes, I'm still here!

If you bought articles or ebooks from me recently, you're probably wondering either 1) why on Earth you haven't received your material or 2) what I've done with the charity money.

(Of course, if you've no idea who I am, then you've no worries, but reading this may make you feel better about your own life. ;-) )

I've tried to write to everyone to let you know what's going on, but I may have missed someone, so I wanted to post something public.

First of all, if you're waiting for articles, you absolutely will receive them. I promise I won't disappear with your money!

Here's what caused this delay:
Our landlady raised our rent by 30% one month and then the next month, right while the war was going on, raised it by another 30%! She was trying to pay off her own bank debts and knew I had nowhere else to go at the time. So, we were actually in crisis mode just as the ebook WSO was ending.

Once things settled down politically, we moved to another town in order to cut expenses. Unfortunately, I was used to "the big city" and forgot that this town doesn't even have regular running water much less lots of Internet cafes. For several weeks I was working from an Internet café, but even those weren't open regularly. I now have Internet at home.

If you helped create the ebook, I want to send you a free copy (only fair, don't you think?). I only managed to get one sent to Steven W. before this flurry of problems started. I'll eventually get them sent, but if you want one right away, just PM me with an address.

And where did the money from the ebook sales go? Unfortunately, sales weren't so great. I'd have liked to market it better, but again, I was in crisis mode myself much of the time. We wanted to buy things like mattresses and other household goods for the refugees, but we came out with something like $42 gross, which wasn't enough to warrant a trip to Istanbul to buy wholesale. So, we bought food and gave it to a local youth group that was distributing food and supplies in the camps. There just wasn't much else we could do.

In short, I was just overwhelmed by a lot of problems all at once. Things are much more stable now, and you'll all be receiving your material I soon as I can manage. Believe me, I honestly and quite literally feel just sick about these delays. I want to get your articles to you ASAP!

To everyone who bought, thank you so much for your support, patience, and understanding. I'm going to go answer my PMs now and hope no one's too angry with me...
