Hey guys, I was wondering what your opinions were as to the best affilate sites and which bring you the most success? I am starting out with clickbank, but I have heard good things about websites such as Amazon and Commission Junction and am thinking about having a look at these options soon.

Do you have more success with digital or physical products in relation to affilate marketing? Just wanted your views!

Commission Junction + CPA Networks. Clickbank is last for me.

Really? Why is Clickbank last for you? As you can tell I'm pretty new to all this...

Because Clickbank consists of ONLY eBooks. And eBooks aren't really the only products that people buy online. Limiting yourself to just selling eBooks is foolish.

          100% right!

I had a bunch of affiliate websites selling body jewelry via CJ - amazing results! (sold them when started my latest venture).

I guess 99% of affiliate marketers rush into info products - leaving the hard product industry only for the big product comparison websites. So hundreds of niches are virtually empty waiting on smart affiliate marketers to work in them!

Here's one of the websites I owned:
Belly Button Rings Guide - Find The Best Navel Body Jewelry Online!

By the way, a huge benefit working in hard product affiliate marketing is - you'll definitely get buyers. When people search for things like 'belly ring', or 'wristwatch' or whatever on Google they're actually more inclined to buy something.

So I'd say from my experience - CJ is very good.

One other thing to consider - it might be best to stay away from Internet Marketing products. There is an insane amount of competition there and many IMers (the ones you are generally marketing to in this niche), are so jaded that anything you say to them has been said before and they blow you off faster than a bullet train!

I think that one of the prime reasons that people tend to start off promoting IM products is because they usually have the higher affiliate payouts. It can be very alluring!

But, if you go after the small, tiny little niches that only pay $5-$10 a sale, you're basically in the market by yourself...

            Big fish - small pond!

Now, take Gerbil Racing for example...

            Regards,

Digital products have to win hands down - no shipping, storage, etc. If you can find the right product at the right time, then you are on to a winner!

I think it's a case of "horses for courses". Find your niche first, then find which networks offer closely-related products. Digital products through Clickbank can sell well, Amazon typically have decent version rates, CJ makes life easy because you can promote lots of programs and get paid in one check at the end of the month. They all have benefits and weaknesses - the only thing you can really do is test out a range of affiliate programs to see which convert best for you.

    All the best,
    Richard
