XsitePro2 Users-Can I See Your XsitePro2 Sites?

Hi Everyone,

I just purchased XsitePro2 website creation software recently from the creator, Paul Smithson.

It's really a fantastic piece of work. I'm really anxious to get started
editing some of the websites I have on the internet already and
make a whole lot of new ones with XsitePro2.

Can anyone who has this version of XsitePro2 care to
list the websites that you've created here?

I 'd really love to see examples of what can be done by
Internet Marketers from the Warrior Forum using this.

Please only list the ones that were created fully using XsitePro2.

Just list the URLs so I can see the various ways sites can be created.

Thanks so much,
Sandy

    Sandy,

I love x site pro 2...without it I would not be able to build any type of website at all.

I am not clear on the rules about posting the links to my websites. If anyone can clear that up I will be happy to post the links to my sites that I have created with xsite pro 2.

If I am not allowed to post the links I can pm them to you.

    Hi Sandy,

I'm getting to like XSitePro more and more all the time.

To date, however, I've only built salesletter sites with it. I haven't gone onto anything more complex.

    Here are the examples:

    The Bad Breath Report

    and:

    The Automatic Sleep Report

    Regards,
    Tommy.

I like XSP...but recently i tend to more get some PLR sites which design i like, and then copy from the PLR site, instead of starting up XSP.

Especially, if you start(ed) making sites, you will already have a number of sites... you can always "steal" from your own sites. This is almost easier even that with XSP.

Especially since the typical Sales Letter page is only a few pages, eg. main page, thank you/download, privacy policy etc..etc.... so i can clone any of my own sites..and with a little work (MS Expression web) create a new one from it

The imagination and topics covered in these web sites is extraordinary. Well done. I enjoyed viewing and would like to see more as I too am looking at getting Xsite pro. The only problem I have are the templates. How many do they supply and did the above authors use them?

Also what is the right price for the program as I found sites offering discounts but can't figure out if they are genuine or not.

      Hi Norma

There are plenty of templates built-in. I have used them as is when I'm feeling lazy, or when I want to launch something quickly. I'm not knocking the templates, they are great, but customised designs are best. If you are design challenged (like myself), then at least you've got something to work with straight away.

That's what I love about XSP, you don't need a lot of knowledge to release a web site and start getting traffic.

      Hi Norma,

There are a lot of templates built in to the program and there are many many other templates out there as either bonuses or for low prices.

The correct price is $197. Some people are out there polluting cyberspace with junk posts (Even in here under two different user names) and confusing the heck out of genuine people.

Regarding xsitepro coupons and xsitepro templates:

There are some sites I would steer clear of because they don't look safe. (in my opinion ) $10 off xsitepro discount or coupon deals sites. I read the terms and procedures for some of them and they are onerous and the testimonials on a few of the websites I have seen have no surnames or other details the website authors details are all hidden on a number of sites out there so exercise the appropriate caution...It would put me off.

The great thing about xsitepro 2 is its flexibility - here's a site I built for a client which was adapted from a previos design I had made using another piece of software - ALCHEMY DESIGN - BAR AND RESTAURANT DESIGN - RESIDENTIAL EXTENSIONS REMODELLING-Home Page - plugged him into my training videos and he can now look after his own updates.

          Hope this helps.

They are both good for this.

      What sort of affiliate site?

A PPC lander affiliate site, an affiliate review site, a bonus site an affiliate article site, a product launch affiliate pounce site?

Do you need comments or plugins (or a databse function? - then Wordpress)

For landing pages and sales pages xsitepro is fast and easy to build and still has XML feeds and sitemaps etc...

Since it's Super Bowl weekend, I decided to show you this one. This was my very first site in XSitePro. Some of you will recognize the template. I got it from a fellow Warrior here at the forum. I highly recommend XSitePro. It's easy to use and very flexible. Also, look into James Schramko's XSP Cheat Sheet. It is the absolute best guide to getting the most from XSitePro. The tutorial on his blog about making videos is great. Check out the video on the Sports Betting Champ page. He gives step by step instructions on how to make videos and that is what I used to make that one.

It has a lot of templates in it. They can be modified but
it requires some understanding of more than basic graphic
      stuff to do it.

Some of the templates it comes with are cool, but they
are definitely not appropriate for all types of sites. About
half the time I just do something quite plain with it. I'm
more interested in getting response to my marketing than
having a lot of cool navigation features.

If you were working with local businesses you could put
up sites they would like really quick with XSP - there
are enough templates to be pleasing to clients. For
direct-response marketers though fancy templates can
detract from the message getting through so that is
      something to consider too.

If you are using a template site then minutes.

For a new site and an average user several hours.

For an advanced user less than an hour.

For a complex site with high detail with a custom skin then it could take a day.

Can you do a/b split testing with xsitepro -- also without any geek factor involved? I don't even need multivariate testing (although that would be nice) -- just wanna test headlines, basically. Is that a built-in module (no coding needed) w/xsp?

    Thanks.

    -- TW
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[622654].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author Loren Woirhaye
No. It does not have integrated split testing. A/B
split testing is not at all difficult to implement these
days. XSP builds static HTML sites: you build them on
your computer then upload them. A/B testing would
be done with a script running on an online server and
would need to interact with some element of your site
in real-time. Scripts do this, html does not.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[622700].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author TimothyW
    Sorry if this sounds ignorant...

Isn't a script the same as an html code? Can't I add lines of html code that will 'do' split testing? Do I have my terminology wrong?

If I buy a split testing 'program,' what am I buying, and how + WHERE do I 'install' it? And can it be done with (to?) an xsp-created site?

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

    -- TW
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[622801].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author Loren Woirhaye
Sure TW. You CAN do it with an XSP site... or with WordPress
or Dreamweaver. Doesn't matter. The script is installed on
a server... depending on the script it might need to be on the
same domain as your website you want it to affect. Then
you would usually insert a JavaScript code in the header section
of the site and another JavaScript code where you want your
headlines to rotate. Putting JavaScript in the header for the
whole site is pretty easy with XSP - but if that is all you want
    to do XSP isn't necessary.

XSP has a lot off cool features for people who want to build
and manage multiple sites. Once you get proficient with it
you can bang things out pretty quick. In my opinion XSP2 makes
less bloated HTML than did version 1 which often made bleah!
HTML which needed a lot of cleaning-up.

As a Wysiwyg editor XSP2 is really nice and considerably less
painful to use than some other things I've worked with. It's
a good investment but not the end-all be-all of site builders
by any measure. It's versatile for general marketers who don't
    want to get too technical.

If you know other applications well, I dare say you can manage all these things easily too, but with the price tag of Dreamweaver, it wasn't an option for me. XSitePro is set at the right price for what it does, and is very powerful. I've not even had to read the manual or contact support yet, and I've been using it for around 2 years. That to me is a great product.

I love XSite Pro it really is a great program. My one gripe is that you cannot post just one new page, it has to republish your whole site.

My site yourpower2be.com has been featured on the XSite Pro site and I have also made bestnonsurgicalfacelift.com. I cannot put a link as I am quite new to posting.

I am sure you are going to love it too, good luck with your sites.

      Zerivabella,

My experience with XSP is that it only updates what you change or add... Of course... if you add a page, which in turn necessitates a change to the navigation menu... that will mean a change to each page.

      Cheers,
      chris

Hi Chris, Yes it got better with version 2 and with a site up to 500 pages it is great. Anything over that can sometimes be a problem.

I use Wordpress and XSP2 and love both of them. Since there are a few XSP2 experts chiming in here I was wondering if I can ask some questions about rebuilding an existing site that is live on the internet but was lost within my XSP2 program when my computer died (I didn't have an external backup then!).

With all the incredible power XSP2 has, its a bummer that it doesn't have a way to retrieve your existing live site and rebuild it within the program.

Is this how I should rebuild a live site within XSP2?

    1) Re-create the template within XSP2.

    2) Re-create each page within XSP2 but set the page to NOT publish (because I'm paranoid about losing my live site while rebuilding it in case I were to hit the upload button.).

    3) Go to each page one by one and copy the source code for the content and then paste that code into the corresponding page within XSP2.

    4) After I have rebuilt every page within XSP2, I will then go back and change the settings for every page so that it can be published. Then I will hit the upload button which will replace what is live with what I just rebuilt within the program.

Okay. Thats it, right? Is there anything else I need to know about this?

    Thank you very much.
    Steve
