If everything was good then you would be able to enter your url in the address bar and your site would appear on the web. I just tried it and it said there is no such domain.

Propagation should only take a few hours or no more than a day.

Are you sure you changed the name servers over to yours and entered addon domain in cpanel? That's only if it is a extra domain and not the domain for your hosting.

If you've checked those two things out then you need to contact your hosting or domain customer service, they should be able to clear it up or even fix it for you. That's if you are using a good reliable company. I use HG and they have 24/7 support and they fixed problems like this for me back when I was a newb in a matter of a few minutes.

    Good luck

The problem is not with your host. The problem is that "The Internet" does not know that zerocapitals.com lives at 74.52.43.130.

To tell "The Internet" that it can find zerocapitals.com at 74.52.43.130, you need a DNS record.

DNS records sit on special servers called NameServers.

The NameServers for zerocapitals.com are for some reason not reachable, therefore you need to change them, preferably to those of your web host.

You can only do this through the company with which you registered the domain. Look for something like "Update NameServers" or "transfer domain".

Thanks Nick M, I am getting it clearer now. The hosting I bought has one free domain. So I decided to use zerocapitals.com for the hosting. I thought that my host will take care of DNS and the nameservers.
Presently my host is not accessible. When I am able to access them, I will do all that you told me to do

For some reason, there are no DNS records associated with this domain or they are unreachable, which would explain why you are unable to see it. The nameservers for the domain are ns1.smartwebng.com and ns2.smartwebng.com but they are also both unreachable.

The domain was registered with Public Domain Registry | Home, but the IP address you have quoted is owned by "The Planet" who also supply Hostgator.

You will need to change the nameservers over to Hostgator's (or whoever your web host is). To do this, you will need to log on to your account at publicdomainregistry.com (or wherever you registered the domain), and amend the nameservers in your zerocapitals.com domain record.

Alternatively you can set up an A record on your existing nameservers to point to 74.52.43.130, but given that they are currently unreachable, I would recommend switching nameservers to your hosting company.

The days of domains taking 72 hours to propagate are long gone. Nowadays, more than a couple of hours is considered a long time.
