EzineArticles WordPress Plugin - Massive timesaving Article Marketing plugin

I've just been doing some digging into the new EZineArticles Wordpress plugin.

http://media.ezinearticles.com/pdf/plugin_howto.pdf

Personally I probably spend more time submitting to EZA than I do writing my articles, so this plugin in a big timesaver.

There are a few downsides, like EZA not accepting images or multiple embedded links. However I use the plugin to first post to my blog, then simply strip out the links (which takes seconds), change a couple of words in the title, then submit direct to EZA.

With a little imagination I am sure you can turn this plug-in into a nice little money making machine in a few days.

You post the articles to your blog as drafts and then you tweak them and post them onto your blog as fresh content, right?

Hmmm...what do you guys have to say about this?

I worry that EzineArticles will get their version of the article approved, published and indexed before my self-hosted version is indexed. It would be nice if we could schedule when the plugin sent the article to EZA. If it would wait a few days after I published it, I'd sleep easier at night.

        That's called standard Article Marketing.

Sleep easier at night... please tell me that you ARE NOT losing sleep over Internet Marketing???

The basic structure of Article Marketing is simple...

You post the article to your site 1st.

Then you post either a spinned version or the same version to EZA.

The you post spinned versions everywhere else.

For scheduling you need to be a premium EZA member.

But you can acheive the same thing by first publishing your post to your blog (the plugin lets you deselect the EZA submission), waiting a day or two for it to be indexed and then just editing your post and clicking submit to EZA.

        Big time saver.

Yes, I have heard of this news too. Through this WordPress plugin, I think we bloggers can save some time on submiting articles to EZA.

I use Article Architect (my software) to post an article to my blog (and automatically send out a tweet) and then use the 1-click-submit feature to send it to EZA. About 8 minutes later Google has indexed the article on my blog and a few hours later EZA approves it.

And, if I want links or things in my blog post but not in the EZA version I can just automate that process with the built-in SR Tokens -- it's what adds a different tracking link for each directory, etc.

I know this looks like a sales pitch, but it's really not (insert innocent look here). I'm just relaying my experience/workflow with the whole blog/EZA thing.

I've been trying to use this plugin but it's not working. Nothing happens when I click Submit. I'm really hoping I can get it working because it will be a huge time-saver for me.

I'm going to give this plugin a try on my blog. Submitting to ezine articles is a chore. Thanks for sharing this.

I don't know why I would want to use this plugin.

1.) I want unique content on my own site
2.) What is "approved" on my site would not be approved on EZine.
3.) On ezine, I want links pointing back to my site; but is my blog post on my site going to have links pointing to my site?

I don't see the value or how it even makes sense.

    Regards,
    PCRoger.

With a little editing before pressing submit to EZA you can use the exact same article. And keeping your content unique is pretty impossible anyway. If its good someone will already have copied it. So why not put it on EZA and get some extra traffic.

In the author box you can link to another post on your site, or even to the same article.

      1. As long as you publish the content to your site first and it gets indexed then you will be fine, having duplicates elsewhere won't harm you.. it actually means you can reuse the same content and just use it for some quick, simple backlinks.

      2. Yes they do approve it - this is a common misconception that EZA content has to be unique - the only thing that matters is that you own the content. If it is listed on your site, especially under the same name as your EZA author it will be fine.

      3. As mentioned you would have to do a little editing - just quickly strip the images and links out of your article and your standard resource box would point back to you as normal.

Sounds like a decent tool, and definitely a time saver! I will be using this a bit myself next time.

Simple. Don't syndicate everything. Write two types of articles.

First write well-researched, authority articles that are for your site only, and then write articles for syndication that deep link to your authority articles. The syndication-designated articles would be submitted to the directories.

Would you sanction getting an article writer to produce the syndication articles? After all, if they get you a few backlinks and an occassional click back to your money site then its not worth spending the time to write them yourself is it?

submp3s - Agree with everything you say.

There's no need whatsoever to submit to EZA before you use it on your own site. So long as its written by you and not already on EZA there's no issue.

I always follow the order: My site, EZA, Everywhere else...

    Great tool all round.

Plugin has been updated and works better than before - it is very simple to use and a no brainer for those of us with blogs.

Yes, the plugin works well now. Better than before. It also now works with php 4, instead of php 5.

A very useful timesaver for anyone doing article marketing. Strongly recommended by me.

My only concern with using this plugin is that I like to post to my own site a few days before EZA, just to make sure Google knows I wrote the original content.

Do you think that even matters?

      It would matter to me.

I want all my content indexed on my own site before I submit it to EZA. Like all the successful experienced article marketers in this thread.

That's how I end up with my own "becoming authority sites". You have to get your material indexed on your own site first, in the long run, otherwise you end up with a site that's outranked by an article directory for its own keywords!

Seriously, this is exactly how so many people screw up with article marketing, and then they end up building backlinks to the EZA copy, in desperation, because their own site can't even outrank a non-context-relevant PR-0 page in an article directory! And that's just "the descending ceiling". :p

I hear you. But it looks like in post #5 above, you answered this question yourself (and rather well?), in April of last year.

I don't happen to use Wordpress, myself, so I can't comment from experience on this toy, but it sounds pretty good to me, subject to the solution to the very good and valid point you make above. Meanwhile those of us not using Wordpress will just have to submit by hand (which takes me only a minute or two, to be fair).
