Any writer who guarantees you a certain amount of CTR or performance out of an article is lying. Sure good quality is important and will help, but only if there is proper SEO on your part.

Try Craigslist. Do a search for writers in the Phillipines or India. The people in those countries that write in English learned very good English.

I read recently that half the people in the Phillipines live on less than $60US a month, so paying them $10 for an article is more than just lunch money there. But a word of caution.....you might have to try a couple to get a good one.

Bangalor is the tech capital of India.

Word of caution - especially since I am from India and stay in India.

If you plan to pay $10 for writing a real sales copy (assuming that is what you meant by copywriting) then I do not really believe it is going to work out, at least in India. India has become expensive, in particular the big cities (like Bangalore or Calcutta or Delhi so to say) $10 does not mean much.

But if you plan to write regular EZA-type articles then $10 is still a handsome price to pay in India. You may still want to look at a couple of writers though, until you are lucky. So do not order too many copies at your first shot, till you are confident that you have got the right writer.

Guess that's why you said it's difficult to find a good writer here in the Philippines.

Don't know where you heard this mate, but surely: a university-educated Manila-bred (or other major cities in provinces) Pinoy (native slang for "Filipino") writer of English content with proficient comprehension and research skills will most likely pay you $60/month instead just so you won't try hiring them anymore... lol!

        Entry level English broadsheet journalists here in Manila are paid Php25000/month (8 hours/day 5 days/week 4 weeks/month), which is around $550/month at $1 = Php45.

        Entry level phone customer support agents, on the other hand, are paid Php19000/month (8 hours/day 5 days/week 4 weeks/month)... that's about $420/month.

That's after social security insurance, personal income taxes, company health insurance and other employee benefits.

Major cities in provinces like Cebu, Davao, Laoag, Baguio and others have lower monthly wages, though it's like a $20/month difference.

Writers are paid higher than phone customer support agents because writing is a more valuable skill since only a few here are proficient in this trade while lots of Pinoys are great English speakers. Believe research and writing require higher levels of comprehension, creativity, logical data analysis and comparative data analysis.

Nurses, teachers (yes, yes: this topic is debatable), construction workers, etc. are paid much lower than writers and phone agents because more Pinoys are able to properly do tasks required by such jobs than skill sets needed for English research, writing and speaking (more so tasks necessary for Internet marketing).

Only a few here have entrepreneurial mindsets, and that's why the few lead the many (much like in other countries too).

I noticed an advantage Pinoys have over others: they can't quite strike a balance between work perfection and speed at first, and they unlearn this in just a few weeks with the right training and management/supervision plus motivation, so when they balance out things just right: they produce 70%-above perfect work at 90-100% speed.

On another note: reckon you mean content writing when you mentioned copywriting 'cause those are 2 different tasks as some have said earlier.

Copywriting requires more research and analysis because it requires a perfect balance between softsell and hardsell marketing in literary form... the attention of target readers needs to be grabbed, their interest provoked to read on, their minds immersed in the content broken down into short and simple single-statement messages covering benefits/priviledges/advantages/unique selling propositions, their curiosity provoked to experience product or service for themselves and they suddenly get nudged to act or think or feel whatever it is that could make them buy buy buy without them even knowing it, or with them knowing that it's the right and only thing to do.

Now that's copywriting, and a good copy is surely worth tenfolds more than $10.

In copywriting, I think if you can't do a "Just Do It", then "just don't".

I have to agree. As writers we make the best effort to provide high quality work that is informative, readable and effective. YET, we aren't magicians, and an article or an Ad copy will not do the work all on its own. Most people fail to understand that success lies in a combination of factors and not just one thing. For example, if the Ad is great, has a good click through rate, YET your site or product aren't convincing enough, you can not blame the Ad. One thing is to have people click through another VERY big thing is to have those clicks convert into traffic.

How is the number of views related to the writing of its content? That's about keywords and SEO, surely?!

In my own affiliate marketing business, I've found it's a mistake to measure one's success according to the click-through rate, too. Sometimes (in fact quite often) an article with a 15% CTR can produce far more sales than one with a 30% CTR. "Traffic" isn't nearly as proportional to "customers" as is sometimes imagined.
      Thanks alexa!

never really thought a lower CTR can bring in more sales.

My perspective was simple: higher CTR and views equates to more traffic. (correct me if my math is not right)

My objective here is to hit the highest no. of traffic and leads conversion.

i like your fact, alexa, about your CTR analysis. Does this got to do with keywords and customer purchase lifecycle.

Please enlighten me. Thank you so so much.

Become a great copywriter it really isn't that hard at all.

Anyone who tells you that it is - just doesn't know the methods and psychology of what makes copywriting work. There is a special process and method behind it (like all things).

There are several sites you can hire writers... it won't always be a guarantee but check their portfolio as well. You may want to have a trial period to make sure that they meet your expectations.

You could google "Writer's Society" the third listing, they're pretty cheap and fairly good in writing articles. You may also want to try Media Bistro.

Have a listen to this podcast from Dan Andrews outsourcetothephilippines.com episode 6
Not enough posts to post direct links.
As an aside well worth listening to podcasts on his other sites lifestylebusinesspodcast.com & tropicalmba.com
