What's the deal with PLR? is it any good

Okay so

i have been looking around at offers that sell PLR articles

Recently stumbled upon one offer where the guy was selling 110,000 articles for $5

I know it would greatly depend upon the seller but still do you guys have any experiences with PLR content?

Is it worth the time...

PS:
I might use these PLR content to rewrite articles and submit to article directories to get back links. But i am not sure how good these articles are as i have never bought any PLR package before.

    Short answer: It depends.

    Long answer: If you use it for SEO, it's likely that you won't get awesome rankings for it because it's probably duplicated across many websites, especially because he's selling so many for so cheap.

    On the other hand, you could re-write them as unique articles or you could provide them as incentive or bonus offers when selling your own product or list building.

    If you're going to rewrite looking for rankings, just make sure your keyword density is good and you're all set.

      do you have any tips/suggestion on what i should look for before buying PLRs

      may be you could recommend some good PLR sites?

    I find plr content is very good for giving away free sort of an incentive for people to sign on to your mailing list.

    Alternatively you can also make some money by selling those through sites like trade bit or many other marketplaces however the thing is from my experience I've only gotten about .50/sale which isn't bad considering I gotten those free.

    But it's very competitive and the prices are very low. Another purpose is to use the article as rewriting but then it won't be as unique.

    And by the way you can a lot of PLR content free there are many free membership sites or sites which give you hundreds and thousands of ebook and articles just to opt-in to their email list.

    I've had pretty bad experience with PLR so far. I've been looking for something with high quality to give to my list and am willing to pay for it. I have yet to find something up to my standards. Maybe I just haven't looked in the right places?

      You know how the 'ol saying goes...

      "You get what you pay for"

      I would advise you to follow your gut feeling on it. While it is only 5 bucks, no need to waste money unnecessarily if possible. Do your research and then make a choice.

      Jimmy D. Brown has really good PLR stuff - I'm not sure what you are looking for in terms of niches etc. but I'd advise you to take a look at Jimmy's stuff if you get the oppotunity.

        With all of the different content spinners and retranslators out there, spending $5 for 100k PLR articles sounds like a great investment. You will find a use for them. We've all got a fat catalog of PLR's that are used for this or that and we all started somewhere.

      well yeah... i was thinking the same thing. But PLR can't give you specific results as it is never intended to be that ways...

    I don't recommend you to use them for article marketing. Just combine them with a good spinner and get a few hundred backlinks to your sites.

    if you really want to experience a good backlink then you must be prepared to write good content to your list and would be list.

    most of the plr you see all over have all been used by almost every dick and harry on the net

    so get yourself a good article writer to help you with writing your articles instead of using articles that will not pass through copyscape or be outrightly rejected by ezine article.
