If you HAD to get traffic today, without PPC or articles...what would you do?

Let's say money is no object.

Let's assume you have all the time in the world to do it.

Let's also assume you don't have a list or JV partners, or any existing access to traffic sources...aka, you're starting from scratch!

Let's also say PPC is off the menu, along with writing articles.

WHAT or should I say, WHERE would you go first to get traffic to test a new product/sales letter/etc?

For me, I'd probably do this:

1. PPV
2. Social networks
3. Twitter

How bout you?

    What are you selling?

You could make a free video course related to your product and release first few parts on video sites and have viewers signup up to email list to get all videos which you host on your main site next to your product.

Press releases are good way to get traffic. Or making comments that link to your site on news articles in google news feed related to your product.

I would put up a page with a poll about a hot topic and send out a press release to announce the poll.

On the poll page, there would be an opt-in to see the results of the poll.

Interesting...never heard that one before! Have you ever tried this for real?

Yes this is a very successful technique.

I have never done this personally but i have heard of others that do this and are very successful with the campaign

I agree with Matt a lot and this time is no exception.

Press releases should be a part of every campaign . They are great for traffic and off page .

Seems like a lot of constraints. How many visitors are you wanting? Email your mates. Contact all your 'facebook' friends. Forums are always great too.

You can go to someone of the top marketers on this forum and give them a free
product and have them review it..if its a salesletter you can create a thread and ask for peoples honest opinion.
