Anyone else having troubles with PayPal?

Hi Warriors,

I have been using PayPal for some time, but in the last week I have noticed a major drop in completed sales and even my downloads have been really slow.

Is anyone else having similar experiences?

The only thing I've noticed recently has been random holds on payments following eBay sales.
Maybe it's just me though.

I have a donation button on one of my websites (see sig). We haven't been seeing much action and over the weekend had someone tell us they tried to donate with their Paypal account and it won't go through.
I called Paypal and was told to change out my button, which I did, but until someone donates (even just $1) and lets me know whether it when through--who knows! Paypal won't let me send money to myself!
Check your buttons, or get someone to 'buy', then refund it back to them. That's my only suggestion.
And if someone can help me out, I thank you!

Kate,

I just tried to send you a dollar, and it didn't work, tried again and, it didn't work.

Just a continuous loop of enter details enter payment, resign in..... serious issues with paypal.

Kate, I have had similar kinds of complaints. I have Buy Now buttons, but I have seen such a significant drop in completed sales that I was wondering. Then when the download turn around reports are so slow, I was promoted to create this post. I have tested the buttons and they seem fine. I am able to buy from myself, so I tested it that way. But it seem that 70 percent of the sales are not being completed!

Thank you, Barbara, I received your donation. But it concerns me about Janet. That was the problem the friend was having before I switched out the code.
Guess I'll be calling Paypal again tomorrow! Though, they aren't much help and I've heard about this problem before. UGH!

Paypal have done quite a lot of changes recently with their buy now etc buttons

Sounds as tho they may not have got it quite right

Failed first time for me because I didnt click "update totals"

Worked 2nd time when I updated totals.

I would bet people dont click update after they enter an amount.

Suggestion: Above the donate button, have specific amounts and a other option w/ a text field. Then the button forces that amount at PayPal so people dont have to update it. A little JavaScript will do it for you.
