Hypothetical 60% + conversions.. what would you do?

I'd like your opinion on this for second..

Hypothetically speaking, if you had spent around 6 years developing a technique to increase sales, that nobody else had discovered, and your own testing consistently gave you results of around 60% sales conversions on a bad day, and 70% + on a good day..

While some of your beta testers who were using a highly diluted version of the technique were reporting around 500% increase in conversions..

And you could teach others the entire uncut technique in less than an hour, would you...

a) sell the technique
and
b) if so, how much would you sell it for?

Hypothetically, of course.

I wouldn't sell the technique, I would start doing PPC and PPV with high numbers of visitors (you can push the price), make a killing alone from this... If it would only be 10%- Great!
And, maybe, start involving some friends or people you really know- if you have such a conversion rate, you can contact me

    Cheers!

Hypothetically speaking, of course, you should allow me to be a beta tester.
Then if I were you, I would break down the entire uncut method into a 6 month video training program, which for the fast learners I guess would be a 10 minute session once a month. Charge $27 a month for a WSO for the first month then $47 thereafter. Get a couple of thousand members, then sell the site on flippa for a tidy sum and go and watch the Sunset while smoking a Havana & drinking champagne at the edge of Lake Windermere.

I would gather all the data and send it off to some of the bigger gurus in the IM niche, if it does what it says on the tin, they and you will make a lot of money

I would just give it to me.

If not, then I guess you have to ask will it mean you get less conversions if everybody else starts using it. And the price point will depend on who it's aimed at and how easy it is to put into place.

Thanks guys. Some interesting things to consider here..

The technique hasn't been tested in the IM niche.. so it should probably go through some more testing.

If a product like this existed I'd imagine a price point of at least $1,997+ to keep it limited to serious marketers.. although you're right Mike, it won't stop people from sharing it and copying it.

I would offer it for free and use it to build anticipation for my main product.

If you blow people away by giving away your best stuff for free, they're bound to listen to what you've got to say later on.

  • If you could have 5 times the conversion rate of any standard product sold on the net, I would NOT sell it by any chance. Instead, I'd crush it with PPC (since you get better conversions, you can outbid any other bidder).

I would go to an IM convention of some sort and recruit a couple well-known names to learn it in your hotel room, get video testimonials IMMEDIATELY afterward, then smack a $10k price tag on it until the end of the convention. Pay special attention to getting second-day speakers on the first day, so they'll plug your stuff when they get on stage.

Imagine if you got, say, Ewen Chia and Reed Floren - names most people know - to sit in front of a camera and go "OMGWTF, that was so awesome, I am going to go update all my sites RIGHT NOW."

Then imagine if you could walk downstairs and start showing six-figure earners those two videos.

Do you think they'd write you a check?

Damn right they would. Take my 10% conversion to 50% with an hour's training? Why, even if I can only do that with 10% of my business, that's a 40% bump in revenue. A six-figure earner would get upwards of $40k this year. Why not drop $10k on it?

Every few sales, take those people back to your hotel room and repeat the process. Teach, take video, go back downstairs and recruit.

After you get your groove on, have a friend record the whole class, then throw that over the wall to a good video guy and make a DVD. Meanwhile, take just one of those $10k checks and throw it at a writer to make a bunch of collateral for your DVD... checklists, workbooks, transcripts, whatever.

While the writer is working, go do a boatload of interviews and webinars about your technique without teaching it. Throw all those onto another DVD or a series of CDs. When it's all done, throw all of it at a fulfillment house to make a big box that goes WHUMP on people's doorsteps.

    Then launch it for $2,500.
