I came across this site the other day that is uses wordpress - http://nativedish.com/

It let's you setup your own blog absolutely free so you end with http://myblog.nativedish.com

Is there a way to do a search to find all the blogs indexed in google that allow you to do this?

Thanks for your input.

Do a Google search for "free Wordpress blogs", assuming Wordpress is the platform your looking for you should get about 127 million return on your search, happy hunting.

Clint, thanks for the quick reply.

I was hoping to do a search that would only bring up these type of sites.

Doing that search returns millions of sites that don't have that ability although some do.

I do have scrapebox but not quite sure how to use it for this if it would be helpful.

      Do a search for

      "inurl:wp-signup.php" on google

      or for

      "powered by wordpress-mu"

Both of these will give you the various Wordpress-MU sites that offer blog hosting; most are free, some may be restricted / paid...

I've got a list of free blog sites somewhere, send me an email at ikontent at gmail and I'll send that to you if you wish; these are the other (better ranked) Web2 sites like vox etc. - non wordpress.

There's also a software called Blogslammer that automates the process of signing up for the wordpress MU blogs; IIRC there was a WSO for it some time back...

      Best wishes.

Check out BlogBot - it's got a list of 48 free services and allows you to manage the accounts from one location. No, not an affiliate, just like Big Mike's software.

And, Wordpress MU should become more prevalent after the next version of Wordpress launches with MU built in. I gotta think that concept itself has some great IM business built in.

I'm working on some new things. So, nothing to promote just yet.

I don't have enough posts to send PM's, but would love to be a part of your community if you would have me. I have a couple of bloggers that write in the sustainable living niche. If you think this would fit with your site, I would love to learn more if you could PM me please

totally agreed Glenn. I just realized this, though it does allow you to add sites that you find with the search function given by ikontent, Cheers for that. I'll post how productive blogbot is with these newly searched sites.

To take it a step further, you can narrow down your search for mu sites that are relevant to what you want to write about. Try:

    "yourkeyword"+"inurl:wp-signup.php" on google

    or for

    "yourkeyword"+"powered by wordpress-mu"

You probably stand a better chance of staying active on these sites if they are relevant to your niche.

The downside of free MU wordpress hosts is that you 'get what you pay for'. Hardly any of them last 6 months or more, and all (even blogetery.com) have a habit of suddenly losing your blog, and requiring you to recreate it (usually because their hosts have banned them for resource usage, and they've had to find a new host quick).

Why not just grab some cheap hosting (hostgator, hostmonster, wherever) for a couple bucks a month, and rest assured that YOU control YOUR blogs???

That is a great idea, though you are not guaranteed a unique c-class IP, and SEO hosting through hosgator is probably a bit out of most newbies price range.

    Update:

I an having a ******* of a time with these incansoft products (this is socialbot and videobot). I am contacting them now, but instead of getting "error" or "success" messages, it says "complete". When I go back to see the post on the site, I see nothing, meaning "failure". What the hell is that???

If it simply would tell me it was a failure, I could go re-post instead of check each URL manually. Oh well, got it on sale... Will report on the appropriate thread with how blogbot is working for me with this method.
