I suppose it all comes down to your definition of "affordable price". I'd start with the classified ads here at the WF.

I'm currently having a budget of $150-200 for a 50-60 pages quality ebook as some of you asked, I know thats cheap.. but it surely CAN BE DONE!

You could also try and take a look at what Tyrone Shum has recommended in his outsourcing strategies (I'm sure you've heard of him). You could try searching for cheap outsourcers at Bestjobs.ph or Onlinejobs.ph. I'm sure they could give you good results and just pick the right choices by shortlisting them.

Hmm... a page has around 500 words x 50 pages = 25000 words, so with a $200 price tag, that's $0.008/word...

...a Filipino content writer assistant can write and manually proofread 4000++ words per 8-hour day, while a Filipino content editor assistant = 12K++ words of editing work + 4000++ words of content per 8-hour day...

...so if a Filipino editor colleague of mine takes your project, she can be assigned an 8K++-word daily quota, and if pictures are necessary to improve the overall quality of the ebook, then the other 2 8-hour work days of her work week can be used to (1) develop some pictures and (2) manually proofread the entire ebook...

...I pay my Fillipino editor assistants $800/month (8 hours/day 5 days/week 4 weeks/month), so your $200 budget is just about right...

...Filipino editor assistants are (1) at least university undergraduate degree holders of courses which require extensive English comprehension, research and writing, (2) have at least 2 years experience and training in feature/magazine, socio-politico column or senior editorial writing at local English broadsheet papers and magazine publishing houses, and (3) at least 2 years inhouse experience and training in content research and writing, editorial content work and SEO/SEM.

With your budget you're going to be limiting yourself.

I think you're money would go the furthest if you hire someone from onlinejobs.ph - explain that it's a 1 month project, you need quality information that covers (specific areas you outline), and the amount you have to pay.

I wouldn't worry about a specific page number, people would much rather pay for a shorter ebook that is quality over long, drawn out, fluff.
