Really cool tip to help you make more money this week...

I just wanted to share a really cool (and slightly unusual) method with you, thats working really well for me at the moment... and I think you should check it out and see if its something you can use in your business...

Basically, its a really simple way to get MORE money from your EXISTING customers - or if you don't have any customers yet, don't worry - you can use this cool method when you start building a list.

So here goes...

I'll try to keep this very brief.

Here's how I sell MORE STUFF and make MORE MONEY from my existing customers...

Firstly, when I make a sale through one of my websites (salespage) - I use Paypal to process my payment... When setting up my button/link, I click the little tick-box that says 'get customers address'. I recommend you do this too (you'll see why in just a second...)

Then, once they've completed payment, they get re-directed to download their product. (i know, nothing new there then, but please bear with me...)

Then after 7-10 days I send them another offer (upsell) on the same subject. So if they bought a $27 ebook on how to lose weight for instance, I might try and upsell them a set of workout DVD's and nutrition guide. Or something they will find helpful...

But, instead of just doing this by sending them an email as most Internet Marketers do - I use their address (which I got from them when they paid through Paypal) and send them a really nice fancy letter/CD/DVD as the salesletter instead!

I know this is nothing new (its called Direct Mail and has been around for decades!) but I haven't heard of any other Internet Marketer's mention it since I've been on this forum, so I thought I would share it with you guys.

But It's how I do it that I think makes it a little different...

You see, I'll write a report or record a quick video and send it on a CD/DVD. And I send it in a fancy, shiny silver envelope or something that stands out from a normal bog-standard envelope, with the words 'FREE CD inside' printed on it - or something to get them so they JUST HAVE to open it!

And then when they do open it up, I put a brief one-page letter in with the CD/DVD, which tells them what the CD/DVD is about, who I am (i.e - the guy who sold them that cool product 7-10 days ago, that has really helped them...)

And then I tell them to put the DVD/CD into their computer and watch it right now (the key is to get them to act right away once you've grabbed their attention...)

Then basically, at the bottom of your report or end of your video - which has just revealed some really cool stuff to them and helped them, you give them a web adress to go buy your awesome upsell product (this could be a $97, $197 or even a $997 product...)

And this works so MUCH better than just emailing them an 'upsell' like normal!

In my tests on a small list (only 114 people...) I emailed 57 people (half the list) who bought my $27 guide offering them a set of DVDs for $97. I had 8% buy which was pretty cool. But...

I sent the other 57 people the same offer - just in the post on a CD using the method I just described and I got just under a 20% conversion! (I tracked this by sending them to different landing pages and used Google Analytics to track it...)

So, even though this method costs a little bit of money (around $1 per CD compared to a FREE email - its WELL worth it in my opinion!) And I shall be using this a lot in the future, no matter what niche I'm selling in.

I guess its just combining both a bit of Internet Marketing AND direct marketing. But it sure does work!
