I heard that Twitter just launched their Promoted Tweets Program today.

I would like to take a poll on how many of you out there are interested in using this service, and if you believe it will be a powerful advertising medium:

I would use this if it allows me to precisely aim the "ads/sponsored tweets" at the center of my target audience.

  Everybody seems to be comparing it to Digg Ads, and they seem to have done very well. I'm sure they will work, but it probably hurts the image of the platform in the short term. They have been making some good decisions lately though, so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

It only makes sense after they rolled out geo targeted tweets .. I've been using my twitter accounts mainly for traffic and ad revenue via my blogs, but I'll give it a look.
