I just started a wordpress page. The domain has been around about a year with low traffic. Is the best way to get people to the site good content, lots of content, links or all three? I know that may sound stupid but I'm trying to figure out what to focus on.

    you don't neccessarily need lots of content, you just need regularly updated, fresh content and many back links with your specific keyword anchor text.

    Focus on providing content that is valuable to your target audience. If you want traffic, you need to focus on deserving it... and that all starts with serving your niche. There is no point in just getting "traffic" to your website if they won't be impressed by what they find. Create remarkable content, and people will share it with others...

    A few questions first.

    1) Have you installed the Wordpress Seo plugin pack?

    2) Does your site decription have your domain name withing it?

    3) Do you have your LSI keywords picked out and spread thoughout your content?

    4) How is your Wordpress site set up? Are there photos or maybe a video? etc...

    These are all important if you want to rank high in the organinc google results. If you don't want to spend a lot of time on SEO then I suggest Pay per click. Its a fast way to get quick traffic to your website and test your offer and conversion rate.

    I actually had someone create the site for me on elance. They did the majority of the work. I'm having content written. I wish I could do this all my self but I have a main job, a part time job and now I'm trying to setup affiliate sites etc. The site is Liveoffholdem.com if anyone would like to give feedback. I'm very new at this but my goal is to have 3-5 sites 1 focusing on content then on focusing on reviews one forum and 2 others to start more niche sites.
