Newbies: If You Want to Make it in This Business You've Got to Work Your @ss Off

The hardest thing you can do with IM or anything for that
matter is the blood, sweat, and tears you have to put in
before you get any results.

I remember when I used to write 10-15 articles per day.
That was one of the most difficult, tedious things that I've
ever done. The worst part was that I didn't know if I would
make any money.

I hoped I would but I had no idea. After all, I was new to
the game.

But I kept doing it. I wrote 10-15 articles day after day.
I hated every minute of it but I knew that I had to do if
I wanted to get results.

During this time I finally got some data. I tested a few
things. And best of all...I finally started making money.

If I knew that I would make $200 per day by writing that
much at the time it would've made the work easier. Still not fun,
but it would've been easier.

But I had no idea. I didn't know if I was even going to
make a sale.

Once you get past the first hurdles it becomes a lot easier.
You can outsource articles although I still write most of mine. You
can start buying PPC traffic. You can hire someone for
marketing advice, etc...

But the first little while you're going to have to work harder
than you ever have to work in your life. And you'll have to do things
that you hate more than anything else.

But in the end, it's these things that will make the money. In the
end, it's what gets you the money to build a real business and
have the ability to take those 2 week vacations while things run
on autopilot.

It's easy to look at the greats like Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods
and say you could live there life. What most people don't realize
is that Tiger Woods was playing golf 12 hours per day working on
his game before he ever won a tournament.

Michael Jordan was always the first to arrive and the last to leave.
That started in high school too. Not after he became a star and
started making a lot of money. The reason he became the star
was because of the work he put in to there and of course there was
no guarantee.

You know, those of us who have had real jobs - where it's all about how much you lift and how fast you carry it - look at these posts and seriously wonder WTF is wrong with you people.

LOL so are you saying you'd rather go back? Been there done that, worked on a line, in a warehouse and answered phones......makes me appreciate what I've got here that is for sure!

No, I'm saying that if writing 10-15 articles a day is the most difficult thing you've ever done, the phrase "work your arse off" has no business coming out of your mouth.

Back in grade 12, I took chemistry, biology, and calculus (plus 3 other classes). It was epic fail for me. I actually got Bs and Cs, but still...they were hard and I just didn't get it.

On the flip side, I found french, english, and music very easy. I got As without trying.

If you put artsy kids into the science classes and sciency kids into the artsy classes, everyone would get owned.

Just sayin...some things are hard for some people and not so much for others. No need to hate on people who've had it "easier" than you have

There is no need to have a go at him. I'd find writing 15 articles a day pretty tedious myself to be honest and I think many people have also had "real" jobs at some point in there lives.

I've many of those "real" jobs and that's what motivated me to get me in the place I am today. I also think this is true of many warriors. In high school I was working every night after I got home from school to help pay for bills. All while my friends were able to join clubs, play sports, get money from their parents to go the movies.

I've worked jobs that no one else would ever work. I am grateful for those jobs because if I had an easy road I wouldn't be doing IM right now.

+1 for you mate. Absolutely. Gotta remember that a whole lot of people do jobs that are far more strenuous for damn little payoff. This is what keeps me grounded: remembering some of my past jobs and how much of a toll they took on me.

      Work your ass off?

      Really?

That's not what half of the ebooks in the WSO forum say. I can be a lazy chump and still make $343.53 a day...

So are you saying those are all wrong?

I agree very motivating post - busting your ass is the key to online success if you want to have a viable home based business. Its not as easy as people think it takes a whole lot of dedication, and hard work to succeed.

But at the end of the day, the best feeling you can ever experience - is showing everybody else I told you so!!! When your hard work and dedication finally starts paying off, when the money starts rolling in on autopilot.

It definitely takes a special kind of person to actually be motivated enough and stick to it till you finally succeed and ditch your boring 9 to 5 that you hate!

Oh what a feeling, nothing beats it!
