Many secrets are in this forum; just search the threads and do some reading.

You say you have all these courses that tell you the "usuall[sic] traffic tactics" but have you done any of them? The reason I ask is because your traffic sounds suspiciously low. I mean, I have a site that pulls in 100-200 unique visitors per day, but I pretty much don't do anything to promote it.

Of course, the niche you're in is going to partially determine traffic potential. Some things just are not as popular as others. I've had sites where I have to fight tooth and nail to get decent traffic whereas others seem to get traffic with very little effort on my part.

Unless you plan to invest a lot of money in PPC or similar things, you won't get 5k visitors per day on a new website, ever! Even if you have the best SEO possible and spam on all forums, it takes time to build traffic.

Sure there are possibilities like Traffic Exchange sites or Safelists, but that won't bring you much of a value. You might get 1000 hits/day from Traffic Exchange, but with a conversion rate of 0.0001%.

I once made something that got 28k views in a matter of months.

It all depends whether Google will pick it up, if it's placed on the first page and there's a great demand (search) for keywords corresponding to what you used, then bingo!

Honestly, there are keyword searches higher than 160K monthly, some even daily.

Yeah it's hard to do it but it's not impossible.

Honestly, I have never trusted a squeeze page and have never purchased anything from a mailer. However, I have been tinkering with them lately and a friend of mine saw one and he said: "Oh. You're 'that guy'." It seemed to have a negative spin on it.

The site in question is an affiliate site selling a clickbank product, the traffic graph follows a weekly pattern, I would say most of the traffic comes from SEO

Just keep telling yourself that... nobody gets traffic, nobody makes money, everything is a fraud, the Internet is a fad, and you better go get a day job (Mickie Ds is hiring I hear).

I don't know exactly where Kelly and Mike get their traffic, mostly JVs I believe. And why do they get JV traffic? Because their sites convert. Affiliates and JV partners know if they send traffic to them, they'll get paid more than sending it somewhere else. That's how the game works. Traffic follows monetization, always, always, always.

As far as big traffic numbers, forget that article/SEO/linking crap. I can do a few email blasts, run some banners and CPV, and get 5K to 10K good visitors a day without much trouble, so I know that number is very possible.

And if I have an offer that makes money, the traffic cost is covered and I have a few bucks left over for profit.

And if I run it through a squeeze page, I also collect leads.

You can definitely get 1000s of visitors a day without having JV partners selling your products, but it would either take a lot of creativity or a lot of money on PPC.

I've done it both ways.

If you know that spending $100 on traffic will give you $140 back, how often would you do it?

So you kinda have to do both, but like Mr. Mizel stated, it's not about the traffic it's about the conversions.

If your site doesn't convert nothing else matters.

I have a site that gets about 100 visitors a day that I make $500/day from, so stop focusing on generating thousands of visitors ans start focusing on conversions.

But if your business model is to make $5/day on adsense by getting 300 visitors a day to just ONE site, you're going to be working really hard to make your money.

I can set up a landing page today, send out an email with an opt in form, and make 1k by talking to a few people or selling right on the site.

Sometimes people put caps on their income because of their business model.

If you can get 200 hits a day to your site, why cant you scale it up and aim for 5000? You can achieve this via SEO. Just target and optimise more keywords, until you reach your daily target of visitors. This will only work if you build on an existing website. If you intend to achieve this with a one page website, you will never suceed via SEO.
