Outsourcing Sites -- your opinion

Hi everybody,
yesterday I wrote a post about the need of translating an infoproduct
I'll take the advantage of outsource this job.
In these months I've used Odesk.com's services.
I think I can find good providers, and the fees are low.
So I think I'll post my job there.
What is your opinion about Odesk? Have you ever used other sites like Elance?
Thank you so much for your replies!

Odesk is better than eLance. I've had both experiences with those sites since I started outsourcing some of my business tasks but I really had the downsides when I hired my first assistant with eLance. He's from India and he's done good at the start but after couple of days training him, I've got problems from using the "perfect terms" to have him better understand my project instructions. Emailing him really spent me a lot of hours before I've got the work done and that moment I really felt I'm already not paying the price. That time, I've got the chance to talk with these gurus such as Tim Ferriss and John Jonas and they recommended freelancers from the Philippines. Gladly by giving it a shot to visit the Philippines job search websites and hiring another team, I told myself they're the ones I could really work with.

The thing is it's always good to find for references, referrals before you really push through hiring one. Secondly, it pays to be specific with your project needs/skill sets so that this staff will be able to utilize his/her skills according to what any employer would want him/her to accomplish.

I recommend you look through Odesk and specify Philippines in your search and you're on your way to get there. Also, by finding your top10 candidates, you can now start to shortlist them through their skills and experiences and by finding the few, start contacting them and see who's greatly interested with your offer. That way, you're more certain to get the "real" and passionate ones that could be loyal to you and your business. Other job websites that you could check out as well are Bestjobs.ph and Onlinejobs.ph.

    I hope that helps.

    Odesk is actually good.

Other than that i've just tried GetaFreelancer.com where, unfortunately, the quality has been degrading for quite a while...

Grrr... both Bestjobs.ph and Onlinejobs.ph are actually not available for me!
The first one is only for Philippines citizens, and the second wants a monthly subscription of 49$: for now it's too expansive for me!!
    Thankyou Pragun for your reply.
    I'll use Odesk

Hi Massimo! You can try easyoutsource.com to hire Filipino online workers. Our site specializes in Filipino talents and the worker base there is all-Filipino. The best part is, registering for an account and posting jobs on the site is free I hope this helps!

    onlinejobs.ph is really good

    also : manila.craigslist.com.ph

can find good workers this way

also check the WSO section because there are a few warriors on here with good price and reputation

    odesk is pretty awsome

getafreelancer can be good or bad, it is very craigslist-like. you will get a mix of good, bad, legit, scammers, high/low price. nothing is regulated but there is a high exposure to a lot of workers. when i need something requiring a specific set of skills or something very oddball done i tend to go here first but not my first stop assistants, full time employee, and things of that nature.

there are many others but i will not speak about others that i have no experience with

ODesk is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. I've got dozens of low ($1-2 / hour) assistants doing SEO work, guys between $3 and $6 doing content writing and then a full time server manager and 2 full time programmers. My total bill is ridiculously low. I love ODesk.

    Hi everybody for your replies!

@aandersen: thanks for the Craiglist advice. It could be a good resource.. but with sites like Odesk you're more protected from scammer or other strange people.

@owol: If you want to share with me your list of providers... I'll be happy! I've just some favorite providers, I could add yours

@jedz: thank you for your PM, just checked your site, in the next future I'll ask you some informations (now I've not the right amount of posts to send PM).

WOW! WF is a great place for IM !!
