I really need your help about RSS.

Hi warriors,

I am just a newbie and this question might be very basic.

I have a website and I placed an rss icon, but I have no idea what link should I use once my visitors will click the rss icon.

What exactly will happen if they are going to click that rss icon? What happens next? What page should they see or anything related?

Are there codes to be added?

Hoping for your kind consideration with questions like these.

Please help me guys and thanks in advance!

Is your website a Wordpress site or an HTML site (or other)? That would help.

If it is Wordpress, the RSS feed is typically yourwebsite.com/feed/rss unless you are using feedburner's plugin then they will supply you with the code.

If your site is HTML, you do not automatically have an RSS feed.

Yes, blogs have RSS feeds automatically created. HTML, PHP sites can have it build - with some additional software or script.

    Hi Louie,

As your site's a WP site you have a number of feeds for it:

    http://example.com/wp-rss.php
    http://example.com/wp-rss2.php
    http://example.com/wp-rdf.php
    http://example.com/wp-atom.php

All of these are treated as being different feeds so you can submit them all individually. It's also possible to submit feeds for specific categories and tags to increase the "visibility" of your site. If you're interested in learning more about that you can check out the WP site here
