optimizing articles, and article submissions

What are some good tips for using articles to rank in search engines? Not to get a website to rank, but to have the article itself show up for a given search phrase.

Also are there any good article submission services which distribute an article all over the place?

You must seo the articles with good keywords and keyphrases, the site must have a good PR to show your articles in search engines.
My favorite articles websites is Squidoo and Ezine, Goarticles is good also.

    Write over 1,000+ Word articles....

    Use a 2.1% keyword density....

Take into account Latent Semantic Indexing/Analysis (LSI/LSA)...

oh boy...the list goes on and on....lol

Granted, anyone you ask will probably tell you something different...

VERY TRUE. There should be a decent balance between keywords and information. Your KW should be placed in well structured sentences which convey a message. I think the more quality information you have in an article the better it will do search wise and the more like an expert you will look.

NOW, I do not agree with Goarticles. It has an automated acceptance of articles. This obviously leaves much to be desired as to the quality of the articles therein. I think that the article directories that have real people reading and accepting the articles have better quality articles.

I use a 1.5% keyword density and always be sure to include your keyword phrase in the title of the article! Then, I like to ping the article and submit the URL of the article manually to Google and the various search engines.

Also, Google loves fresh, original and 100% unique content. I have had articles shoot up to the top of Google due to their uniqueness in my opinion.

I have quite a few articles on the first page of Google for highly competitive keyword phrases using this technique.

    Best,
    Shane

Is there any form of mass submission service that will send out my article to multiple article sites? Also is it bad to publish the same article in multiple places?
