my advice to you is to go to the warrior special offer section of this forum and purchase a couple of WSO's, or you could join the "war room" - I say this because in IM there are simply too many ways to make money to explain in a single post. You need to have a look around at what you may want to do and specialise in and then people can give you some tailored advice.

    Hi Richard,

    Welcome to the forum.

I think your situation is similar to how many of us got started.

I've been doing IM for over 10 years now but I can still remember what it was like starting out.

The best advice I can give you is to focus on finding a group of people you can access and identifying what you can provide to help them.

Make money online is all about creating value and being able to deliver it to people willing to pay for it.

If you don't create the value - or you can't get it in front of people - nothing else will matter.

You can make money selling information, products, videos, or just getting enough people interested in something in front of someone elses offer, so the world's your oyster really.

A couple of things I would suggest are:

1 - Focus on creating revenue that is recurring. It's much easier to make more money if you still have money from your previous efforts still coming in.

2 - Don't try to do it all yourself. Either outsource some repeatable elements or work with some other people.

Hands down the best way to make money online:

    - Find a profitable topic and figure out what they want.

    - Create a short, free report that provides useful information to that market (could be as little as 5 pages, double spaced and all, as long as it's useful).

    - Create a one-page "squeeze" page to give away that free report AFTER they give you their first name and email.

    - Promote your squeeze page using all free methods (or paid if you have the resources) to build your list.

    - Provide more value to your list than what you ask for from them. For example, I send out two useful articles (or give away a freebie) for every one promotional email I do, and I do a new mailer every 6 days.

Do it that way and you can make A LOT of money even with a very small list. All of the steps above (and everything in between) is explained in great detail in the free report in my signature (no need to buy WSO's and things just yet).

    Good luck!

    Richard,

One of the biggest mistakes I've made when I started was not building a list of potential customers. So for whatever you decide to do, list building should be one of your top priorities.

Another big mistake I've made is falling for the "get rich quick" stuff. You know the stuff, "I made $10,000 in one month and you can too". I don't know, maybe no one can tell ya not to fall for the get rich quick stuff. It may be something we all have to go through for a while until we believe it for ourselves.

What software are you using to build your websites? Have you tried WordPress?
