Does Paypal have some sort of test feature, where u can go through the whole order process on ur website to make sure everythin is working fine? Or do you just go through the whole thing proper, and just refund urself?

I don't do this stuff mysdelf, but i'm forced to do so this time around, so it would kill me to know how to do so myself.

Thanks in advance.

PayPal sandbox is the tool to test your payment system. It's a pain to use, if you have not used it before.
Provided you have entered the correct web address in the payment form it all works fine without having to do a sandbox test.

You can set your price for .01 run your test and then change to the price you will be charging.

I always just use one of my personal cards or account then refund.

  • Thanks for the post, I was thinking the same myself. Thinking about it, I agree with eidoan. Just simply purchase your item and refund yourself later.

      Zero,
I second the idea of just setting your price to .01 and then buying your product so you can see the entire process as the user will...Sandbox can be a pain if you've never worked with it.

Also, don't forget to perform all the steps on the most common browsers.

I forgot that on one launch...and everything looked beautiful in Firefox...and then I had customers emailing me to tell me that the sales letter wasn't showing up in IE...doh!

Yes, purchase the product and get a refund. You'll be able to see exactly what your customer goes through....quickest and easiest way in my opinion.
