FORWARDING WITH GODADDY DOMAIN NAME

So when someone clicks on my .info domain and is forwarded to my affiliate page. do i get credit for that. ???

how does the whole redirect thing work with godaddy.

    it should .... check it out for yourself ... forward and then
    click the .info and look at the browser url bar at the top of
    the page ... look to see if that is your affiliate #, this is
    assuming you don't have a "mask" feature set on your
    domain account.

    Hey there BuffBlaze,

    You will have no issue with the forwarding. You will get credit for everything. You can also choose "mask forwarding", the option where it retains your site.info name in the address bar and does not display the true destination, in your case an affiliate link. The thing you want to be aware of is that if you choose this masked option, you will essentially be putting your destination page in a frame. Google will see this and probably not rank your site too highly in the search engine results. If you really don't care about SEO, this should be no issue at all.

    Personally, I would never market this way. I would much rather make a .info into a 1-3 page mini-site / landing page that can pitch the merchant a bit more before we send the person off to the merchant site. I guess it depends on the level of work you want to put into it.
