Mobile methods to drive traffic and convert sales

I have been doing a bit of work looking at different mobile models and how they
can be used to drive traffic and conversion; specifically for my profitable-niche.net weekly niche ideas site.

In looking at the technology, the best way that I can see how it can be used as an affiliate marketing tool is to use mobile for lead capture, then convert the lead using more traditional methods. Click to call CPA may be an option as well, but I haven't looked into my CJ account to see if it would work.

So here are the very basic models for using mobile as the next evolution.


Method 1- Connect & Lead capture without a website: Using Twitter and Facebook as
your lead capture.
Step 1- create a Twitter account with your explicit offer as part of the page's
value proposition
Step 2 - Use social oomph and twithawk as an autoresponder for the prospect
Step 3 - Place an ad on http://www.admob.com that is served to the Twitter
applications on phones inviting people to connect.
Step 4- Use Twitter as your primary point of contact for the prospect to capture the lead and send them through your sales funnel.
The advantage of this method is that Admob serves ads to people checking facebook or twitter so getting a click and follow is a natural step.


Method 2 - Connect and lead capture with a website
Step 1 - Create a mobile squeeze page that captures mobile number and email. Wordpress has a mobile plugin that works okay for this application
Step 2 - Ad placement on Admob or Google Adwords mobile
Step 3 - Capture the lead and drive them online to your affiliate offer. I haven't found many mobile affiliate offers so please let me know if you are aware of any.


Method 3 - Adsense revenue
Take advantage of social apps like twitter and facebook. Use them to drive mobile traffic to a mobile optimized page that serve adsense.

Method 4 - A lot of work
Approach local businesses, develop geo-targeted mobile websites for them. Lay out their mobile adwords campaign, and charge them a hosting and maintenance fee.

Okay, so all of these are ideas in process, but I wanted to spark the conversation and see if we couldn't come up with a very effective method to drive revenue using global mobile applications.
