Camtasia vs ScreenFlow - Does it Matter?

I've been a Camtasia user for over 4 years now and can't say I own a more valuable piece of software, for what it can generate in the way of product output. About a year ago I started using a MacBook everyday, on a consulting project, and fell in love with the interface. I left that project but still have a desire to do more on the Mac, mainly with video.

One app i never got the chance to try was ScreenFlow, but the people I have ran into that use it, seem to feel it's so much better than Camtasia..

If you have an opinion why it's better (or not!) PLease weigh In!

I've used both and I think Screenflow is better for the ease of use and functions (at least the ones I've explored).

Of course, that's my personal opinion. Camtasia for mac hasn't impressed me THAT much, even with their current update. Screenflow's 2.1 was awesome!

I have been a strong Camtasia supporter for years, and have also been Anti-Mac for years. That is until I had to borrow a mac with keynote, screenflow and final cut....Now I don't want to give it back =)

Screenflow is significantly better IMO than Camtasia and FinalCut Pro is AMAZING!! ...this is coming from a lifelong mac hater.

  I was a PC "bigot" for many years also. I laughed at Mac users and told them they all wore sandels! Now the're laughing at me after I drank the Steve Job's Kool-Aide. My son has one of the newer 13" MacBook Pro's at college and he'll be back for the summer in 3 weeks.

"Does it matter?" No.

I've made great videos with both, and I've run into challenges with both. Just like most other software products on the market.

I'm not even sure I have a preference. They're both great tools!
