What would you do for $5? - Cool little website

What's up warriors!

I stumbled upon this site recently (most of you might know it already) it's called fiverr.com.

It's basically a website where people can list the services their are willing to do for $5 bucks.

So my question is, what would you do for $5 bucks?

I would offer a SEO analysis for your website or blog for any keyword and compare them with the top 10 in google for $5 bucks. (I would post my listing but I think thats not allowed).

      There are people on there saying they will design a custom wordpress theme for $5. Do you think they are serious?

      My initual thoughts are they must be very desperate, very quick at doing it, or very crap at doing it lol

        Thanks to the suggestion of another warrior, I bought some software called Artisteer that would let me churn out somewhat custom themes rather quickly. I can imagine they might use some software like that.

        I'm enjoying Fiverr. I bought some Twitter advertising, but it hasn't paid off. Thinking of trying some other services on their site. It's promising, and with such a little investment, if it doesn't pay off, I'm not overly worried.

      Thats what i thought but i guess if they are very desperate then they will. I think all their doing is using a free template and editing it slightly or something like that

      Yeah, it's a cool little site. I'm testing out the waters, trying different methods and selling various services. I think it would be good for those automated type of services that are not too time consuming if you are a seller.

        Selling. Lot of hits, but payment never got paid on the jobs I did, even though the buyer is supposed to pay before he/she takes delivery.

        On the other hand, just posted a newer offer the other day and made a sale.

        BUT, I use it in the same way that all these big time marketers do that "give away" products to draw folks in. In retail it's called a loss-leader. :>)

    yeah I heard about this site awhile ago. Its a good concept for sure but I think you only get $4 for your work and the site takes a $1. I think the people saying they will send a postcard from where there at is pretty cool.

    I would love to hear if anyone is actually making any decent amount of money from using this site?

    I emailed them about a dude who was going to eat a live goldfish for $5 and suggested that it probably wasn't an appropriate gig to have on their site. They were very quick to reply, thanking me for pointing it out, and they then banned the user from their site. They seem to be trying to run a tight ship there..

    They have some pretty funny services on there. I personally think it would be an "okay" place for someone desperate for money. You can do so much more here on this forum, and make much more money doing it.

    I found Fiverr a few days ago, and have been thinking about trying it out too. I just joined the Yakezie Challenge today and found your post!

    I’d love to hear what you tried and what worked. I also found a few cool ones where they will manually enter your site into 20+ search engines, they will put you on their blogroll, check your site for SEO and give you changes to make, or tweet your site to 18,000 followers. Very interesting!

      I have used Fiverr for various things, all with good results.

      Had a guy send invitations to his 70,000 facebook friends (several accounts) to join one of my facebook pages and got more than 2,000 new fans the first day. For 5 bucks !

      Had a college student at a big university hand out flyers of my website for 5 bucks with my url on the flyer and saw a big jump in traffic the next few days.

      Had another guy re-do one my websites and make it look nicer for wordpress. Well worth the cost of 5 dollars.

      I guess there are some on there that do not perform good work, but I guess I have been lucky so far.

    *draw a doodle* I can be real creative and silly when I want to be

    I can definitely say that having hired people on fiverr has been an absolute pleasure but I am careful since I try to enquire first to see if the person actually responds and if they don't then I move on. Some people are under 16 on there and this can cause real problems when they do not understand the basics of having a professional attitude.

    Just recently I had one girl sort of try telling me that she won't be around to do the service I am interested in if I take too long with deciding if I want to go ahead or not. This was one day after I merely enquired about her services. Needless to say I said, thank you but no thanks. I don't like being pushed to make a decision if I gave no indication that I wanted her to go ahead with it.

    You just have to think outside the box with something like this. I stumbled across it and put up a 300 word article for $5-- much, much less than clients pay me or I can make on a content site. However, I have gotten two big writing jobs and a social media job as a direct result of this site, so basically I look at it like I'm being paid $5 to advertise my writing services---
