So You Want To Make Money For Christmas?

I'm going to spill the beans on one of my secret niche
research strategies.

The Christmas toy market is huge.. choosing and finding
the right Christmas gift for your children, grandchildren,
nieces, nephews and other friends and family is one of
the most challenging tasks.

We all look for an easier and more affordable way of doing
our Christmas shopping; and the internet is the tool of
choice for an increasing number of people.

Now is the time to build your Christmas Toys review site.

But what about the content?

Which toys will be the most popular?

What is that list worth to you?

Here's the UK list:

Enjoy!

Thanks John. This could be a goldmine if used correctly.

Many firms make up to 75+% of their annual income profits from their Christmas sales. Plus many more poeple are searching and buying online. It's a good combination.

    Great resource.

If you're aiming at profiting in the toy industry this Christmas, you'd be crazy to pass this information

Thanks for sharing with us John

The legendary Mr. T has hit a niche I've personally made a lot of money from over the years. I just happen to do it offline. Say principle however.

Truth is, if you get hipped in advance to the next years hot Christmas toy/gimmick...and buy in advance the same way you'd buy gold....you are damn near guaranteed a big golden profit on the resale...especially the last couple days before Santa hops down the chimmney.

The best Christmas I ever had was truck load of Tickle Me Elmo dolls....that I literally sold to a bartender by writing my offer on a napkin. Done deal. That fast. Made almost 7K...for literally nothing. True Story.

And this was after the Tickle me Craze.

A lot of these toys remain hot....cuz they get repackaged...and then they are HOT again.

This is quintessential feeding frenzy sheep marketing at it's best......mom's and dads who will sell their ass to give the kid the same toy that the Jones family is giving their brat. It's true. It's true. It's almost comical to watch grown adults....preach and teach the kids the spirit of the Holidays...as they themselves are buying off their own guilt...and or validating their own greed and need to keep up with the masses.

Don't believe me? Riots broke out a more then a few Walmarts the past several years.....as stampeding moms dove off cliffs like lemmings......all to get the perfect gift everyone else wanted for their kid.....and the sheep never lose their wool.

Find the hot toy now. Buy it.....and hold it. You will not lose a dime. Promise. You'll make money.

Before X-mas I usually order up a pallatte of the latest games console as they deliberately keep supply low at xmas to build the demand for the product. The couple of weeks running up to xmas I sell them at twice what I bought them for.

This year though I am not doing it as there hasn't been any big developments with consoles, perhaps a palette of toys might be the thing I need. What Toy to order though? I looked at the list and didn't see any instant winners. Clone wars merchandise will be pretty hot though I think

It's worth thinking about how people buy presents.

For example, when looking for presents for my granddaughter,
I look for things that are suitable for 5 - 7 year olds. A niche
site dedicated to presents for just girls, with categories based
on age ranges would probably perform better than a generic toy
    site.

      This is VERY true John...

And getting ranked quickly for gender specific longtail keywords really works well this time of year through till January sales...

We stopped celebrating "christmas" years ago, and I couldn't in good conscience make money off the holiday, therefore no xmas money for me. But thanks for the tip!

Why say thanks for the tip?

Besides, don't think of it as making money off the holiday, but rather making money off of people looking for toys to buy. Who's to say they are buying them for Christmas? Maybe they have a kid whose birthday happens to fall around that time of year.

Good for you for announcing your beliefs. I celebrate Christmas, and it's my favorite holiday...but what does that have to do with the post?

      Thanks for the tip John.

      All the best,
      Michael Oksa

p.s. I did a WSO for something similar last year and it did quite well.

had almost forgot how close we are from Christmas...

Last year the off mainstream toys I promoted paid for my Christmas presents and a bit more. Funny... found that list in a magazine.

Time to take cyberdust out and rebuild links...

Because I like to encourage people to continue to post their ideas and tips here, even if I don't personally benefit from them. I think that makes for a strong, useful community. I've seen other forums degrade into crap, and this forum is the cream of the crop and I want to see it stay on top.

Just explaining why, from a personal ethics standpoint, I can't make use of it. As a Christian, I just feel it is important that since in other areas of my life I speak out strongly against the christmas holiday, it would be hypocritical of me to specifically target christmas shoppers in an effort to make money.

Quote from the BBC1 morning news..

"There are only 70 shopping days until Christmas"

So, there you go.. there's a 70 day window to build your
review site, Squidoo lens, or whatever and make some
    cash.

BUT, pick the right domain, keyword phrases and you'll
have a 365 day window to capture birthdays and other
    gift days!
