When will starcraft 2 end up as an affiliate product?

I was wondering because all of the buzz going around sc2 and gaming industry. Blizzard announced that there will be a trilogy for each race (terran, zerg and then protoss). I see there are "hand on" on gamespot.com and some luck *******s are playing as we speak. Blizzard is rising dust with Blizzcon showing of all the goodies of the game.
My question is how long will it take for blizzard to launch affiliate for starcraft 2 or even Diablo 3? Or will they keep all the money for them self?

I am very interested in how things will develop since this is the game I am waiting myself to come out. This would be quite a good subject to write on IMHO.

They don't do the affiliate set-up themselves -- they pass it on to the affiliate and merchant networks (think Commission Junction).

You have to go through a retailer that is actually selling the game; Amazon, Walmart, Electronics Express, Gamestop, EBGames (I believe they've merged with gamestop), ETC.

Having said that, you do the same thing you do with any sort of niche; sign up for accounts at places like CJ, Clickbooth, and other affiliate websites and you get the link for that product or website.

The bad thing about these electronics sales is you get a very low (LOW) cut. In my experience, you'd be damn lucky to get 10%. Expect between 4% to 5%.

    In a nutshell...

    1. Signs up with a affiliate/merchant network (EX: Commission Junction)
    2. Grab a link to their website or a link to the product you're trying to sell.
    3. Promote that link on your website.
    4. Don't expect a whole lot of commission from a game like that -- 5% if you're lucky.

    Hope this helps,

    -Sean

P.S. I can't wait for this game either. Although.... I don't think my PC will even be able to handle it unfortunately.... got to get a Processor Upgrade.

Lol I came to WF and did a search for "SC".

I'm planning to create an information product when
it launches and have affiliates sell it for me.

As for being an affiliate of the game itself, Amazon's
    probably your best bet.

Its never launching. They have said its coming for 10 years.

Its a myth to create buzz and switch you to WoW.

I've played SC1 quite religiously since 1997 along side with WC 1 2 3... I've ditch gaming since then to concentrate and be "serious" about life, career, business, and all that stuff... but SC2 is just too good and I might just buy a new PC just to play it, damn I'm doomed.
