How much should the price be for a product re-written from a PLR?

Danny is right, there's not enough info provided to know. It depends on the market, the quality of your products, your sales skills, etc.


On another note, Danny, if you can sell even one of my ebooks for 4 million, I'll give you a 75% commission and more products to sell than you can shake a stick at.

There seems to be a psychological attraction to the number 7. If you check the prices of most internet marketing products, you will see that they usually end with a 7. $7 $17 $27 $37 $67 $97 on up to $997 and $1497; see for yourself.

What they say above is true, but if you are talking about a "how to make money" plr or one in a very hot niche, you can sell it on the WSO forum. Again, Im supposing its a solid
plr like you said, and in the WSO forum I see them go for anywhere from $17 to $47, with $27 being about the average asking price.

If you are talking about the long term product, as WSO is very short term, I would charge more. The WSO, as you proboably know, are supposed to be specially priced offers. I would include a mini site template and an ecover, as well some plr articles as a nice bonus package, and if you drive targeted buyers to your offer, you should make some sales. Just make it obvious that they will make money with not much work. The product life cycle of an offline PLR package is longer than a WSO, generally speaking, but keep in mind that it can be short and you will need to develop another offer in readiness for when the sales start to taper off. When will that be? Sorry, couldnt tell you.

Be advised though, that there are LOTS of people who sell plrs for much less. Dont let that discourage you, though. Be advised also that the WSO forum is packed full of hundreds and hundreds of targeted buyers if you are talking about anything related to making money online or a hot niche they could make a mini blog around or sell to their lists.

I think it all depends on the niche, the substance/topic of the ebook and how you plan to position it.

In the IM niche I can understand prices of $27+ for information as I know that if I implement the strategies I can make an income. If I'm say a dog owner and you want to charge me $27 to tell me how to look after my pet then I'll just go to Amazon and pick up a real book for half the price...

Treat it like your product because basically, it is.

Nobody will know if the product is a PLR if it contains quality information.

So how much would you charge for your product?

If you can add audio or video even just talking over Powerpoint or a screen shot you can easily charge $27-$67 for it. For just text you are competing with amazon, if it is in a general niche, and the price would be lower: $7-$17. Unless you can market it as unique "dynamite", content then you can go higher.

IMO:
never try to make a product out of a PLR.
If possible make a PLR out of a product after it succeeds..
