I'm wondering if there is anyone out there in WarriorLand who might be interested in mentoring someone who is not a newbie, but is struggling to stay self-employed right now.
I've mentioned my background elsewhere, so I'll keep it as brief as possible here.
I started studying IM as a hobby back in 1999. Since it was only a hobby, I didn't make my first dollar online until 2003. At that point, I started working more diligently, and I moved to full-time status in late 2004.
However, I've always had a bad habit of just randomly throwing a bunch of "stuff" at the wall, hoping one or two things would stick.
They always have. I've been blessed to work for myself for the last four years, and have been fortunate enough to, until recently, earn a comfortable income.
Problem is, all I've done is prove that I can randomly earn money online.
What I've never been able to do is focus on just one area of IM with consistent, diligent effort, in order to build a lasting, sustainable business.
I've become a jack of all trades, master of none. What this ultimately means is that, I understand the mechanics of making money in almost every area of IM, but I'm missing the higher level, more technical details that can be the difference between success and failure.
This in turn causes me to jump to another area of IM, and the cycle continues unabated.
Here's what I can offer to someone who is experienced and successful in their particular area of IM, who might be willing to serve as a mentor.
1) I'm happy to provide a lengthy, detailed testimonial for you in print, audio, video - any format you'd like.
2) You can package everything we work through as a case study in order to profit from your own list, create a WSO, or anything else you wanted to do with it.
3) Possibly a small amount of cash, though my budget is pretty constrained right now. Wouldn't be more then a few hundred unfortunately.
4) My everlasting gratitude and loyalty.
One big advantage of mentoring an experienced IM'er is that I already have the basic processes down. You don't have to start at the beginning with me, or worry that what you are teaching me is over my head. Very unlikely that will happen.
Of course, one big challenge of mentoring someone like me, is that I have very likely picked up some bad habits along the way that will have to be broken and rebuilt.
As far as what area of IM I want to focus in, I'm really not sure. As mentioned, I've dabbled in almost every area of IM. I have a $350 Adsense day in my background, and a $1,200 Clickbank day. I once ran a PLR article membership site that had 340 members at its peak.
I think the only thing I haven't done is create and sell my own product. (Unless the PLR membership site counts!)
So I don't want to pin myself down to one specific area just yet. I'd rather talk with several people and see if we can find a good "fit". The ability for the two of us to work well together is more important to me then the specific area of IM we will be working in.
Well, that's my pitch. Again, my apologies to Allen and the moderators if this post is out of bounds.
If it isn't please drop me a PM if you might be interested in working with me, or reply to this thread if you have any questions or comments.
Thanks in advance!
