Attention Newbies and EVERYONE. A Few Must Knows

Hi All,

This is so simple. Why didn't someone think of this before (kidding you know)

Most Methods that legitimately helped their users to make money will work for you. BUT;

1. The Money Is In The List, so get a list.
2. It's hard work. So work hard.
3. You probably won't get rich overnight, but, you can make some money overnight.
4. Call them dreams, goals, whatever, but just have some. If you don't you won't progress.
5. My methods worked for me. They may or may not work for you. If you choose to pay me to learn what I know and I charge a fair price and you don't make any money that does not make you stupid or me a bad person. That's how life works some times. It works that way in Florist school, plumbing school, Law School on and on.

What's the point of this post.

Well, there are just some things we should know up front BEFORE we invest money. My list certainly does not cover them all but it's a start.

    Good stuff...

Here's some that I've been focusing on lately:

    1. Build a relationship with your list by treating them like your close friends
    2. Don't just stay busy (done lots of that) work to get results
    3. Create a business plan, yes you're in business it's just cheaper to start an online venture

      Right on Right On.

This industry does not have a 90% failure rate. It has a 90% rate of lazy asses trying "the next big thing" to get rich and walk away from their j.o.bs.

      Great Post.

I always focus on making sure that I am putting my content or linkbacks up on the net daily. Blog post, forum post, blog commenting. Get five links or so a day and you will build that business strongly and for sure.

As for the list I have a pretty big list (4500 or so) but it really comes down to giving and keeping contact and only pitching what your list is really looking for

    Thanks George, very good insight.

One message I've been focusing on teaching lately can be summed up with one phrase:

"A jack of all trades is a master of none."

Once you find something that works, you need to put all of your effort into scaling it up and leveraging your success. If you are constantly chasing the "silver bullet" or the "next big thing," then that is exactly what you will continue to do. Another phrase:

"Insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results." (or something like that )

    Thanks again George!

    Live with passion,

George, I try to set both goals AND objectives. Let's see if I can explain what I mean. A goal represents my best case or utimate aspiration while my objective is my near term or minimally desirable state.

For example: My goal is for my new site to generate $100.00 revenue per day while my objective is to make at least $15.00 per day in new revenue.

I find it helps to give the folks I am working with a series of attainable intermediate steps by which to measure success. It keeps them in the game a lot longer.

    Cheers,
    chris

That makes at least two good threads you have started today, George. I think...I didn't actually check the dates.

Anyway, here's a couple more for your list:

    6. If you buy my ebook or take my course and don't use the information, it can't work for you.

    7. If you need to be assured of success before you take action, you're not cut out to be an entrepreneur.

    8. You can get rich quick ... 5 years is quick!

Again compared to how long it takes to set up an offline business (with no experience) and make it work ... that's a lifetimes work for many people.

Great info, really useful..... and agree with you about most except,

"1. The Money Is In The List, so get a list"

    Cause for disagree is

What is it that causes you to disagree with that statement?

"The money is in the list" is another way of saying that it's "who you know and how many you know" that makes a difference. I know I've met a few people who seem to know many many people and they always seem more successful.

There are ways other than having a list to make good money online. Selling physical products to people who want to buy them anyway is a good example. I have one site, for example, that sells a superfood product. Just one simple organic food that people search for everyday. I have a really good price so many who come to my site buy.

    Hi George,

I am glad that you are giving the newbies a wake up call on what they should do. I always believed that everything starts from within.

    Take this in.

It is YOUR decision to make money online so NO ONE can make money online for you but yourself.

    In the same way...

If you do not take the time today to move and begin the first step. Then you will stay where you are.

Hope that adds to the value that this thread has.

Very inspirational post. I like it.

I would also like to add that most people will not achieve success simply because they dont WANT it bad enough. So get out there and kick some butt!

when I talk to newbies, here's my question: are you willing to go to the bank and apply for a loan to make this happen? Enough to outsource all the donkey work so you can focus on building a business?

    answer is usually (obviously) no.

if you're not willing to invest in this, then it's a hobby and will remain a hobby (which, like all other hobbies is going to cost you a lot of money;-).

treat it like a business, and it's going to reward you like a business
