Does anyone understand how to use commands in search engines?

I have been trying to find specific information on a number of subjects. I have used the 'site:' command to only pull up .edu sites, and a few minutes ago to find articles on EZA for certain key words. In both cases, I get one or two sites that match my search, and then a lot of others that don't. Specifically, searching for articles on EZA, I put in the 'site: ezinearticles.com "keyword" and my first item is an article for the keyword I am looking for, the rest are Squido or Ask.com etc. and who knows what after the first page.

I have tried to put the keyword before, and after the 'site: EZA.com' command, and it doesn't seem to matter as the same stuff comes up.

So, does anyone know what is going on, or what I am doing wrong?

The site command should (and does) only show results from that site. Quick guess - are you putting that space between the colon and the site, if so, you shouldn't.

That must be it. I thought the space was required. Thanks for letting me know that. I will try it again. I am looking for good articles to republish, so only having one choice doesn't quite cut it.

Edit: This is working perfect for me now. Not sure how I got screwed up with the syntax of this command.
