Dunno if it's just me but Rich Jerk's sales page really caught my attention at that time.

Jay Abraham's "Luger letter" is worth tracking down. It allegedly
    had a jaw-dropping conversion rate.

He was selling investment guns. World War 2 German pistols I think.

    Hi DT,

I agree with Adam about RJ - had a striking effect on me.

First thing I recall is "I'm Rich Your Not" on The Million Dollar Homepage
(was an affiliate)... I just had to click that - then to be confronted with
"I'm better than you" I was rolling around laughing thinking wth...

Funnily enough I went on to meet "RJ" and "he" is a tru genius whether you
    like "him" or not.

There is no definitive answer to this it really depends on your
    niche/subject.

In terms of "earn money online" RJ was remarkable - the funny thing is it
would be quite easy to replicate yet no one really seems to have done it
    successfuly.

IPK (mine) received a lot of acclaim in terms of design (thanks Design Guru
Ryan) but it also converted hugely well because of the sales copy. The
upsell I used (which was high quality, but hey upsells are still perceived as
a pain unless done in the right way) worked phenomonally at 80%
conversion - thanks again, this time to Michael Cheney, who advised me on
that particular method. Little snippets like that equate to thousands of
dollars as well as happy shoppers.

Again though it really depends on the target customer and the message
you need to create to push their buttons.

I was helping a Warrior Newb research Dog Training two days ago on CB
and one site stood out from the rest simply because it looked "slick" and
professionally put together. Think the girls name was Dove Creswell - quite
fancied her actually too. But that's an example of a site in a niche that
    stands out.

Take a look at other big converters too. Commission Bluprint2, IM eye, (the
same guys I believe if I'm not mistaken) Big sellers so clearly sales letters
    that work.

Check out Mike Filsaimes stuff as well.

Tell us the niche you have in mind (if thats possible) and maybe you'll get
    some better feedback...

Happy to help by PM if you'd rather keep it confidential.

    Cheers

    Craig K.

In response to people asking what niche I am interested in, well, Im not inquiring about any particular niche. I am just trying to get the "feel" and observe the style of effective sales pages. It may very well not be in the IM niche. Although some really powerful ones may be in the investing/financial niche. OF course, some of the best may be in the niches filling desperate needs.

What I might think is the best will have no bearing on reality. The ones that sell, sell more, and continue to sell are really the top winners.

It is always the direct-mail (now on the net) sales letters that get repeated and repeated and repeated because they work.

A while back I subscribed to Michael Masterson and Angora Publishing's ETR letter. This is a "newsletter" that comes out daily and sometime multiple times a day! Every article links to a salesletter (sales page). The sales pages that keep getting repeated are the winners. And most of them are offering affiate products for Masterson.

I must have kept 40 or 50 of them in my swipe files. Masterson is one of the better copywriters on this planet, and he hires the services of other top copywriters.

Funny thing, the late John Caples was a master at testing direct mail and other direct response copy. He wrote the "Tested Advertising" book. Today the top award in direct marketing is the Caples Award. But old John Caples is probably rolling over in his grave because the award in his Name goes to the most "creative" ads and not to the ones that tested best.

    Go figure!

Check out BenHartMarketing.com - supposedly, his sales letters have converted in the range of over 5%, and that was using direct mail. He has a lot of excellent freebies, too.
