What keywords am I ranking for?

How do I know what keywords i am ranking for on google without typing in every possible combination of keywords into google directly?

I have been aggressively moving up the SERPs with the keywords I have been targeting but I just typed in a random keyword and found myself on page 1, #6 for that keyword. I would like to start putting more effort into those keywords as well.

Here is a great strategy you can use.

    1. Install Google Analytics and let it run for a week.

    2. Locate the list of keywords you are getting traffic from. This is the list of keywords you are ranking for (Those that matters)

    3. Start on the top of the list and build backlinks or improve SEO if you are not ranking first for that keyword. When you build links to these article you will also increase the power of other articles as well as other keyword variations of that particular post. If the post is not helpfull for the keyword, write a new post or ignore it.

Google Webmaster is great but you can check here - semrush.com in less time. But using free version you will be able to see only 10 keywords.

If you are asking about the SERPs in Google then you can go the Google Analytics way. For any of the other search engines you may need to use another software. I am certainly surprised to see that you have placed so well in the SERPs without even knowing what keywords you are targeting.

I know, funny. the keywords don't have as much traffic as the ones i was targeting but, any traffic is good to me at this point. the keywords i targeted are so competitive that ranking for the others was probably far easier.

now, off to work on converting that traffic!

Deffinetly set up Google Webmaster tools.

That will tell you what is coming your way.

But also set up analytics for an aid to get a handle on what you want.
