It just came up from my mind, thinking of, how if we can sell a $1 product to large country by population.

I mean, is these country purchase power through internet is high enough?
Here the list according to wikipedia. List of countries by population - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

1. China - 1.3 billion
2. India - 1.2 billion
3. USA - 309 million
4. Indonesia - 234 million
5. Brazil - 193 million

I rounded it.

Excluding USA, is it worthy enough to prospecting from this country?
Care to share your point of view?

Thanks

PS : I'm working on my thread before, entitled "Dare to Fail", and suddenly this question is playing inside my mind, and to its sudden, its blow up here...

  • I'm from Pakistan so I know Pakistan is #6 on the list

Now apart from jokes, I don't think it's a great idea to sell in these countries because, internet and ecommerce is simply not common in most of the world's most populated countries.

EDIT: I don't know about all countries, but I think that in most of these countries Internet is not as common as it is in US. And by common I mean in the sense of buying online.
  • I wouldn't target Brazil...

Even if you managed to sell a $1 product to their entire population, you'd ONLY walk away with $193,000,000 lol
  • Hi Mohammad Afaq, I'm sorry for just listing up to #5. I see, so it's not worth it.
Hi Mr. Soldier, I don't get you...huhu, sorry, I'm bit of slow in English joke
  • What you should target instead are countries who have the largest numbers of internet users. Even if the population of a certain country is high, if only a small portion gets online you would not make much.
