List Control $39.00 - Legit?

List Control $39.00 - Legit? How about Traffic Secrets for $49.00 ? Not pirated, original disks, from the author.

Of course not, but

eCost promotes electronics and such at crazy prices, if you join their $39 a year premium club or whatever it's called. For example: An iPhone 3gs $79 , AMD Dual Core Laptop $99 ...etc. Sounds good, but if you look at the fine print for the iPhone it says QTY 1 offered at this price, for the Laptop QTY 3 offered at this price.

It's like saying: Traffic Secrets 3.0 $49.00 when you join our club, QTY 2 offered at this price.

You know the size of a company like eCost that those are gone before you can click on the ad.

Here's the debate... Is this legit marketing? Would you do it?

Check out the membership discount book club's model here:

Buy Books at Bargain Prices at DiscountBookSale.com

A few months back I thought I'd found a real bargain on a book
I wanted... but when I read the fine print and discovered their
real agenda is to get a credit card and whack you every month,
it becomes clear that the bargain books are sucker bait... unless
you really buy a lot of books the membership isn't worth what
you'll save. I found many complaints.

The fine print fools people a lot. Even offline stores do this little trick. They run a sale until they run out. Makes sense. You can't sell what you don't have, but...

If I had a grocery store and advertised Porterhouse Steaks 10 cents a lb., then only had two steaks for sale at that price, but have lots more in stock for a higher price, I think that would cross a line somewhere.
