Newbies start here...

I notice quite a few newbies looking for a place to start.

I replied to a post by a newbie having trouble with finding a niche. I know this is something I had trouble with when I first started, I even had a mentor helping & I was still stuck for 3 weeks on this - I was making it so much harder than it really is. I think I was just terrified to make a choice & move to the next step - again I was putting too much importance on this.

I thought some of the new newbies here might get some benefit from this, so here's what I wrote about finding a niche - it's not a bad place to start.

...go to the Google Keyword Tool - here...

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

& type in "how" or "buy" or "get rid of" or "learn" (something that shows a person with a NEED)

something like that - something that suggests a person who wants to buy something or is desperate for a solution to a problem they have.

Right so if you start with "how" - go type that in. Now click on the blue "Approx Avg Search Volume " make sure the highest number is at the top. Now these are the most searched for terms. This number is the number of searches for the particular keyword per MONTH on average.

How is searched 151,000,000 times per month.

Go down the list until you see something interesting like maybe "how to fish", "how to make out", "how to write". Once you see something that interests you , open a new browser & go back into the google keyword tool & put your new keyword like "how to fish", you can also put fish, fishing (put each keyword phrase on a new line).

This will bring up heaps more searches for lots of different keywords.

Keep going until you find something you can work with - then go check clickbank & see what you can find to promote.

When you finally do choose a niche - you can use these searches to decide on your domain name too - again start with the highest searched keyword phrase & check if the domain is available.

I hope this helps you out - there are heaps of different methods for selecting a niche, if you are following Conduit Method, actually whatever method you are following, you should try to block everything else out of your mind & try to follow Chris's methods step by step. Do it exactly like it tells you & if there's something you don't understand, come on here & ask, there's always a heap of people here who are happy to help.

Good Luck
