    1. Catch a buyer's eye- what's your pedigree? How will they know you can write? Providing examples of work can help, but more often than not, offering a few articles free can give you a starting help in terms of references. Be careful who you give them too- the reference is only as good as the referrer behind it

    2. What are you worth? It's important to set a bench mark for what you want paid and stick to it. Find your bottom rate and your top one.

    3. What else are you doing? If you've not written them for yourself and tested out what makes a good article, how can you help your clients? So invesitage it for yourself first.

    4. Have a website. Blog on it, write everyday, and work in writing. The more you write, the better you become.

    5. Find other avenue streams. It doesn't need to be outside of writing. But just writing IM articles for others isn't the most efficient use of a writer's time. There are good offline businesses who need online content- and will pay alot better.

    hope that helps

      1. Get some samples together of your work.

      2. Get them somewhere that you can direct potential clients to them so they can see what they can expect.

      3. Make a list of places you would like to add your services to. (think freelancing sites) Also get your own site going asap. You can start without one, but the sooner you have your own place, the better imo.

      4. Determine what you need to charge per article or book or what ever to make it worth your time. Write down what you are going to charge.

      5. Get some recommendations. Offer some freebies if you need to establish yourself to get some feedback. You know, there is a famous chocolate chip cookie that got started this way.

6.Market yourself! Use your name or company name, stick to a plan, make some goals and just go.

      7. Deliver on time, don't make excuses, and don't be afraid to send a questionaire and gather data to always improve your service.

    It's child's play.

    1. Put a portfolio of your articles on a site, or have them ready in a zip file to email anyone who asks.
    2. Put an ad up in Warriors for Hire.
    3. Profit.

In addition to everything you have already been recommended, I can add by saying to start getting your feet wet by joining freelancing sites like scriptlance, freelancer, elance among others. There you can bid on projects other webmasters post. However, be warned that there are MANY people bidding $1 for 500 word articles. Of course most are junk, but thanks to these people bidding so low, a lot of project posters take advantage of that and only offer to pay a buck. Truth is you can bid higher than that, as long of course as you can back up your price with your talent.

Soon enough you will realize that if you are worth the price employers will pay for your work.

Pretty good advice in here for you so far alkalim.

The only advice I would ignore is to ASSUME your an
employee for someone else. Your nobody's "chew toy",
and this IS a business (service business).

Be perceived as the "expert" to go to, and be MORE
than just a writer. Be a respected business owner.

The BEST writers are actually business owners and
know how to market themselves and their skills for
optimal prices (think J.K Rowling, Stephen King, etc)

If you look at this from an employee mindset, you WILL
get employee results. Look at it from an ENTREPRENEUR
mindset, and you'll get those results.

Realize that, most writers fail BECAUSE they don't under
stand basic marketing and human psychology. They just
"want want want" but, they don't want to take the time
to learn how to GIVE MORE by knowing how to directly
    solve their problems.
