What's the secret to making money online?

Hey guys, I've noticed a lot of people on here asking what they should do next with their online business. Firstly I would like to say that if you're reading this and you're new to the warrior forum, welcome, there's a load of information on anything you want to do online when it comes to making money and a lot of people who were and are in the same position as you!

Everyone has got different skills and attributes that work well online and this is the place that we all come to share it.

So back to my original point, what people should be doing for their online business. You may have seen a video on here by Mario Brown, telling you to stop buying and start selling. The whole point of what he was trying to say was. Stop looking for the magic answer to how all of these gurus make so much money; stop looking for the secret, there isn't one!

Any business that you set up online, or in general for that matter; depends on a customer base. You're in a fortunate position (considering the nature of this job) to build yourself one. You do this by building a list.

The fundamental principles of list building are universal for any niche, some niches require different approaches, but in essence they're all the same. Firstly, you need to understand that simply giving someone a free eBook as a bonus won't cut it, you have to look at it like a science.

The desired outcome of our actions is to provide value to our marketplace. The best way to provide value is to HELP people. This is an easy thing to do. Firstly, think about you market and who it is that you are going to be promoting to. Think about their age or what they might do for a living. Understanding the NEEDS of your market allows you to provide the value needed to generate your income.

Once you've done that and you have a pretty good idea of who you are going to be targeting, have a look at the problems faced by your market. This can be done by researching forums, drawing from personal experience, brainstorming or by simply interacting with your market and finding out what people have a problem with and how you could help.

By finding the biggest problem faced by your market, you'll be able to target the biggest group in your market. You target them with the FREE OFFER! Now; because you've been really diligent and you've researched your market, you know what it's going to take to help the people in it.

Your free offer could be in the format of pdf,mp3, video, eBook or video, it doesn't matter. What does matter is the content. The reason you want to provide so much value is for one reason; relationships! Think about it, if someone helped you out with a problem that you had, and seemed to understand what you were going through, would you be inclined to like that person? I know the answer to that question and I think you do too!

Instead of (once you've built your list) sending out pitch after pitch every other day, try to see how you can further help your market. For instance, with my list, I give a tutorial on a product, or a review (if I've actually used it) and include an affiliate link at the end. I think about what my market needs, find products that can help them, and only if I think they're good enough do I recommend them.

The moment you stop trying to make money online, and start actually trying to help people, will be the moment you find the secret to making money online!

    Just to go on from what Vil has said, it is true.... you can never make money online by just starting to put up a sales page and hope that people will buy your product, they won't because they don't really know who you are and do not know anything about you... this is where most people go wrong, they put up a sales page and wonder why they are not making any money

    people do not buy your products, they buy you... they want to know more about you... so what you have to do is to build a list by giving something of great value away to people, you then give more and more valuable information to your list, this helps to build a relationship between you and your list.... and most importantly it builds trust as well

    As you get to know your list, you find out what they want? what problems they have and try to help them solve their problems... once they know you are the answer to their prayers you will be greatly thanked and they will look at you as a great helper and soon enough slowly money will gradually start to come in because your list will realise that whatever you have to offer, they will eventually pay for because they know your work is great.... and how do they know it's great?... because you have proven to them before, while you were offering valuable info and of course you've shown them that you are in fact a real person... people buy into people... that is what business is really about

    Focus Focus and Focus on what you are doing... Don't do lots of business model at the same time. It will make u confuse and fail.
