Real Name or Pen Name?

Hi fellow warriors, I write 5 articles a week and post each of them to 150 plus article directories on 5 different topics. Is there any benefit to using a pen name for separate topics? I know many do it and i was wondering if it is a valid strategy to use. Thanks in advance Dan

    Hi Dan,

I always use different pen names and author names, that way your reader will not always feel that you are always publicizing for your self,
where I always think that, it is better when other say that your good, than when you say that you are good.

That is the whole idea besides it, it just makes articles look more natural, and not for self promotion.

    Have a great day

    I like pencil names

pen name... pencil name... get it.... lol? no?

Yes... use a name that fits your topic or niche.

When I read an article about weight lifting, I'll take John Stone's advice. I don't care what Eugine Frankenbaker has to say.

(I just made those names up, if you're name happens to be Eugine Frankenbaker, I'm sure you're a very nice fellow)

I like to use a pen name for each niche (or related niches- like one for weight lifting and other health related subjects).

I'll give you a little warning about pen names.

When you have an article submitted to one directory under one name, and then you resubmit it to another directory under a different name, it may be flagged as stolen content.

You need to prove you are the owner of the article to some directories before they will let you post it.

I started using different pen names for different topics, when people complained that they were annoyed that Bill Platt was writing about American History instead of his standard fare of Internet Marketing... ;-)

It's best to use your own name if you're providing a service or maybe if you're in the IM niche - it can be more profitable to brand yourself and be seen as an authority. Most people go with pen names though if they're in a variety of different niches.

Use different pen names depending on the niche you're writing on. Something that's striking for people to recognize your work as well as what you're writing about.

Pen names are good for building reputations in niches.
