.htaccess files, Can this be done in one?

Hi Warriors,

Using an .htaccess file can you limit someone from gaining access to a
directory if they didn't come from a specified link?

I believe it can be done but I'm not sure how to do it.

Does any one know how I can do this?

Thanks,
Have a Great Day!

Yes, using the deny, allow directives but if you have access to the referring url, you might be better served setting a variable and having the landing page check for it and redirect if it's not found, possibly redirected to the page for them to purchase or whatever.

The big problem with htaccess for that is that if they can guess the referring page, they can fake the browser to get around that.
