My Progress So Far....

Hey everyone...

Been a reader for a long time on this forum and have gotten some great advice from the members...so ahead of everything. Thanks.

Now, I run a website psdcutups . com and I am looking to juice the marketing. We have been doing busienss for 1+ month and closed 9 jobs. This is with the following marketing:

1 - Buy Sell Ads.com Banner Ads....2 ads for 200 dollars each....

2 - PPC Advertiisng - Horrible experiment where I didn't get a good CTR or a good return (0 customers).

3 - Forum Posting - We have gotten the most business from some forum posts.

4 - Agency connections...we have teamed up with design agencies and they give us retainer business monthly.

5 - SEO, we are beginning to rank for our keywords, we moved from page 7 to page 3 for our favorite keyword. PSD to HTML. We are doing monthly link building with an SEO service. GAMIT SEO , if you google them. We have been doing the 100 / month plan.

I am here because I want to jump start this and turn the spiggit on....the business framework can handle volume and am looking for suggestions. Our goal for this month is 30 conversions.

I am weary of techniques that are off color because this is a business I am trying to build and a google slap would be highly devastating.

Suggestions are appreciated.

    Make friends! Keep posting, and start to develop a contact list of people that you can talk with directly. Obviously, it is also super important that if someone who can afford you looks at your site or presentation, they have a good first impression.

      Yea thats been the goal so far....its been working very nicely but I am looking for some specific strategies that are advised....anything you can recommend?

    Got you. Yes, I have tried nearly all of those methods. "Jump starting" can cost you, but if your conversion rate is good, it may be worth it. There are certainly some site on buysellads.com that will get you 100+ uniques per day, but they are going to be close to $1000/month. The same thing is going to apply to some google adwords campaigns. Forum posting can have a cumulative effect over time, so if you post over several webmaster forums throughout the week you will have 1000s of possible ways people can find you. The SEO part is going happen more slowly, and I would consider that more gravy, but once you have it, its hard to lose, so you can look forward to that!
