Need recommendation for Web hosting Resell program

Hi every one,
I'm planning to go and get me a Reseller hosting account, hi have been looking thru the offer Godaddy has and the one Host gator has also, there is a big difference in price.
Can anyone recommend any webhosting company that is not too expensive?
And also people that do have reseller account with Godaddy and Host gator can you tell about your experience doing business with them? (Then I mean having reseller account with them, not the normal account)
Thanks

Hostgator is fine. I recommend them over GoDaddy. Godaddy hosting is problematic and you'll be up to your ears in support tickets constantly.

siterack.net - i use them because the allow me to sell reseller plans too, it's called master reseller, same price $16/mo - have to buy it on ebay to get that deal - they dont provide a WHMCS license, but i can get you a nulled copy of whmcs if you need it
Nice i'm going to take a little look at thous sites, i didn't know they existed, but i going to take a look to see what they have to offer, thanks

Thanks, but one question, why would you register the domain with Godaddy and then use Host Gator to host the website? are the domain names cheaper at Godaddy?

I don't think Hostgator sells domains. The general consensus among
marketers is it's best to buy your domains from a different company
than the one you host with. This is a sort of failsafe for your business
because if your hosting company dumps you as a customer or fails
in business, you just forward your domains elsewhere until you get
        new hosting set up.

Similarly, if your domain company pulls the plug on you, you still
have your hosting running, even though you may have lost most
of your traffic until you can get your domains re-registered elsewhere.

I'm not trying to scare anybody. Nothing unpleasant has ever
happened to me in this regard, but it seems prudent not to put
all the eggs in one basket.

Added to that, GoDaddy hosting is said to suck.

CPanel/WHM hosting is something of a standard in the IM community -
these platforms are what most people here are familiar with and
most webmastering tutorials in the IM space will refer to CPanel.

Hostgator is friendly to most script installations too and support is
excellent. I've never had a script install problem with them I
wasn't able to resolve with help from HG support.

If you are highly experienced with webmastering and know all about
Linux and stuff like that you may not need good support and may
be able to figure out and solve all hosting problems yourself.

Yeah, stay away from GD, I agree.

What is "not too expensive" for you? - A good, reliable host is worth a little extra...

$150 a year is something that i had in mind, maybe its to little?

I have read many "Not so good" reviews on Godaddy I'm started to think they ain't any good

Do IMers generally spread their hosting accounts on multiple hosts? (for added safety/business continuity?). I've generally hear that keeping all your domains hosted with a single entity is not a good idea (no matter how reliable, well-established they are).

I'm with ResellerZoom for almost 5 years now. Never had an issue. They have budget plans that worked extremely well for me.
And I'm using Godaddy for domain registrations.

I use GoDaddy for domains and reseller hosting. I use HostNine for my own reseller hosting.

HostNine is pretty reliable, and seems to have a smaller group of people working there that can get to know your account, and help you quicker when any issues arise.

Hostgator .... you will hate yourself if you go with Godaddy. Their hosting and hosting customer support is the worst available.

OK. I see that Host gator is clearly on the top of the reseller accounts.

I have also been looking at namecheap.com for domain hosting because i have been told that godaddy can be little bit difficult when transferring domains.

I had never heard of these guys before, but SingleHop is really good. I had been with lunarpages for a long time without a single problem, so I'd recommend them too.

Lunarpages in my opinion is a very good all-round Hosting provider, and SingleHop's more tuned to purchasing dedicated server hosting accounts etc.

Again, i'm unbiased between the two. Lunarpages or Singlehop would always be my top two choices.

    Hope that helps~

I've been using GoDaddy for domains and Hostgator for hosting for two years now.

Because I heard that you may have problems with GoDaddy if you get a flood of traffic, I'm registering some new domains with Namecheap.

But regarding hosting, I never had any problem or heard about problems with Hostgator.

So, regarding hosting services, my vote goes to Hostgator.
