The Secret of Listbuilding...

Hello Warriors,

I just canceled my subscription to Aweber because I've gone many months without getting a valid email (I get addresses like this tshrhbst@gmail.com).

If I have learned correct, you need content or something of value in exchange for an email address. This is part that keeps me and many other marketers from experiencing the benefits of email marketing.

I was recently thinking about the ability of guru's to make million dollar launches, and I find that it originates from big joint ventures from people with email lists, and affiliates monetizing search traffic.

Anyways getting back on topic here is the question, what is the easiest and most effective way to create content and build a list.

Also feel free to share your methods.

edit: Oh my goodness, if you have a list or need to build one check out igors post in the war room. It just blew my mind open. Seriously!

    For me, giving away free reports, videos etc is working wonders.

    So I think that is probably the best way

    Free reports, e mail courses, e books etc. Drive traffic to your squeeze page using various forms of marketing like article marketing and or PPC, and your list should grow! You do have to give them valuable content though!

    You must give something of value. Create a relationship with your list. People buy from people they know and like, not from strangers. Don't be a stranger to your list, give them even more value. Then your list will think, if he/she is giving me "X" for Free, the products they are selling must be 10 times as good. Then the "Law of Reciprocation" will engage. $$$$$. Good Luck.

    JV's, absolutely, for speed and cheapness. Giveways, stuff like
    that. Your "goodie" has to be well presented. The marketing
    of the goodie is really important. Even the free giveaway, these
    days, you need to work hard to sell subscribers on the notion
    you're worth buying from.

    If you cannot absorb the monthly costs of Aweber check
    out Listwire, which does many of the same
    things much cheaper.

    Getting a responsive list is not, unless you have guru friends
    or lots of PPC cash, easy. It takes dedication to build a
    list and grow a relationship with it. Don't compare yourself
    with others - just work hard and nurture the list you can
    build now. They are real people.

    Despite what a warrior said, I don't agree that building
    a list is hard.

    In fact, it's by far the EASIEST way to build a solid or
    massively profitable income online IF you build a relat-
    ship with that list WITH content.

    And you know what...

    the content doesn't have to be massive. Just enough
    to "digest" and wet their apetite for the full course
    meal (paid product). They would want it that way any
    way.

    When was the last time you went to a restaurant and
    ordered a full course meal BEFORE and appetizer?

    rarely.

    Everyone get's "fake" emails in their autoresponder...
    so what? If something like that "hurts your ego" easily,
    you won't make it much longer in ANY business where
    things won't always go your way.

    In a perfect world, you would have 100% double-optins,
    every person who visits your opt-in, opts-in, and every
    person who sees a sales page from you will buy.

    In a perfect world...

    And no, I won't tell you the easiest and best way to
    build a list because if you use the search button, you'll
    find that answer.

    Why bother wasting my time if you throw in the towel
    because some people put in fake emails? (and if you
    do it right, you won't get very many like that).
