How Do I get Started with Youtube?

I know how to watch youtube videos but no clue on how to produce one.
How do I go about it?
Is there a step by step guide?
Do I need to run out and buy video equipmaent and editing software?

    You might already have a free editing software in your PC already.

    You dont need to videoshoot the content.. You can just screen capture and do things this way... Many people do this.. Hey, there is even powerpoint.

    There is a step by step guide, for newbies like you. and i am PMing you about it :-)

    I didn't have a clue how to create videos til about a year ago. Then I started playing around with Windows Movie Maker on my computer and found that it was really easy to use clipart and just type some text on the screen to create a video, and even add music.

    After that I learned how to transfer videos from a camcorder to my hard drive and edit them with Windows Movie Maker, too. It takes some learning, but it's definitely not difficult to do.

    You should already have Windows Movie Maker on your computer, but there are other editing programs that you can purchase. I've tried a few, but for me, Windows Movie Maker works fine and it's easy to use.

    I agree with Denise, windows movie maker works great but make sure you have enough memory to work with those big files on your computer. I've had my computer freeze up on me few times because of the size of the video.

    Easy use Widows Movie Maker, it's on your computer most likely. Study it there's way to much to tell about the Movie Maker so just open it up and do some learning. Hands on is the best teacher for this, it's not rocket science.

    It's not necessary to struggle with learning how to make videos with it.

    Search YouTube for tutorials you can watch to quickly come up to speed.

    And also, Papa John is the Movie Maker guy:
