I have a p2p marketplace website similar to etsy.
My problem is no one wants to be the first to sign up! We require a credit card to sign up for i.d. verification and you can use your card to pay your fees.
No one of course wants to be the first to hand over their credit card. The issues also comes into play because if I allow people to not enter a credit card and pay only when they pay to post an item (20 cents) paypal takes all of it and i don't make a dime...
I have put a lot of time and effort into marketing and promoting the site but still no luck! I feel its because of the credit card issue, or am i just making excuses?
any suggestions?
