Who makes money on craigslist?

I know it is difficult but I remember I read a post by someone who was buying a common product on craigslist and selling it for a profit on craigslist.

What he did, if memory serves, is make very low offers on this product. Enough people would take his offer for him to make decent money.

Did anyone see that post? I'm wondering what the product was.

    I'm not sure how many are using Craigslist to make money that way, but I remember a couple posts a few months ago about acquiring freebies from people on Craigslist and reselling them in a garage sale. Not quite the business model you're talking about, but some make good money with this. (Other people will also take the freebies they got and resell them on the site itself - I'm sure though, that reselling things individually would be tedious and take a lot longer...)
